Do we still believe in affirmations? (And an emotional message)

by purelytwins

If you are new here, we want to say Hi!

You might be wondering why are we even wondering if affirmations are worth saying.

Of course it is good to say positive things.

Well as you see in this video and podcast episode we discuss our background with saying affirmations and where we stand on them now , from a Biblical viewpoint.

Our thoughts on affirmations as Christians

Please share this video with anyone you think would benefit from it.

We hope this video/podcast serves you.

Please do your own research on these practices. There are a lot of other great people discussing these topics more in-depth than us.

We are simply sharing what things helped us see it was wrong.

We highly encourage you to open up the Bible and discover the truth for yourself.

You don’t have to believe what we say on this matter around affirmations, even self-help things. But for us, this is what God revealed to us.

We still believe in saying nice positive things.

But like we said in the video you are not saying them to “gain” something like they teach in law of attraction.

Do we still believe in affirmations? What do we affirm now as Christians. Plus an important (& emotional) rant about beauty and message to parents!

What we discuss:

  • law of attraction
  • affirmations
  • positive talk – self-help
  • idolize ourselves
  • making you be your own god
  • affirm Godly things
  • negative thoughts and depression
  • Lori opening up about comments people made to Madison
  • beauty and message to parents
  • power of your words
  • remember who God is
  • God made me wrong
  • made for more – you never rest

We still think you should say – I am strong. I am beautiful.

And things like that.

But it is all rooted in Christ.

We affirm things God has said or promised in the Bible.

It is important for Christians to keep their mind positive and on God because the devil attacks our minds.

Let us know your thoughts below on affirmations – do you say them? what things do you affirm?
