This recipe was inspired from our deep love of brussel sprouts and Annie’s horseradish mustard

The funny thing about mayo is Lori has disliked anything white and creamy, like mayo, her entire life. It just wasn’t her thing. Now for me, I loved it. We’ve heard such wonderful things about this Paleo Mayo that we decided to give it a try.

We like trying new things. And Lori was even on board with giving it a try. We both feel in love with it. We have ordered more jars.

If Lori a non-creamy fan loves and requests this dish then anyone will enjoy it! So here’s the thing. Brussel sprouts tossed in a creamy mustard sauce is basically the best thing ever.

We love roasted Brussel sprouts but with this sauce on top is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. We’ve made it twice already in this past few days. This is a fun and delicious way to enjoy brussels sprouts.

This recipe is not only made from mustard and mayo but we added in tahini. Why? Because we love it. And it really adds more creaminess and depth into this sauce.

Creamy mustard brussels sprouts. Paleo.

A beautifully tasty side dish of Creamy Brussel Sprouts is a great addition to your holiday dinner table or anytime of the year. With just 5 simple ingredients, these oven baked Brussels sprouts are coated in a rich, creamy horseradish mustard sauce. Amazing flavorful side dish that you’ll make over and over.   • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag of brussels sprouts (around 2 cups)

Creamy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons horseradish mustard
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 2 tablespoons paleo mayo
  • Sprinkle black pepper
  • Sea salt if desired

Instructions

  1. Pre heat oven to 376.
  2. Half the brussels sprouts.
  3. Place onto baking tray and lightly coat in coconut oil.
  4. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  5. Tossing about half way through baking.
  6. When done cooking let brussels sprouts lightly cool.
  7. Dump into a big bowl.
  8. Place all the ingredients for creamy sauce into bowl.
  9. Toss over brussels sprouts.
  10. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  11. Serve and enjoy.

Nutrition

  • Serving Size: serves 3-4

You can use any mayo of your liking. We just really like the flavor and ingredients for the Paleo Mayo.

If you don’t like Brussel sprouts you can sub out any veggie like broccoli or cauliflower.

Can use any mustard of your liking. We love horseradish mustard so that’s what we used.

I really need to try roasting brussell sprouts- I’ve had them before but never made them myself!
