After Lori had an ultrasound to check on baby M #2 (everything is looking fantastic) we went to the local kids museum to let Madison play around. Of course the day we decided to go to the museum there was a school there. So that meant an extra 80 people. We decided to stay any way and let Madison play. She had a blast. She was doing her own thing along with watching the bigger kids play. It was so much fun for Lori and me to watch her. There were a few tears when we had to leave. Definitely plan on going back often.
Besides hanging at the museum, sometimes we struggle with naming our recipes. Bloggers’ issues, haha. We went back and forth on what to call these: bites or balls. We think both are cute but ended up going with bites for this one. Even though they are round like balls. Oh well. Either way you will love these cute little guys.

The idea hit us. Make energy bites with them that are packed with protein and healthy fats.
Snacking made easy. A perfect for the on-the-go families.
Plus, these are paleo friendly. These almond butter balls are made without oats and refined sugars.
We wanted something that was super easy to make, tasted great and was packed with nutrition. We did use maple syrup in these to provide some carbs for more energy and for a touch of sweetness. We kept the recipe simple by using all protein powder instead of doing a mix of protein powder and gelatin.
Gluten-free, paleo, vegan almond butter chocolate chip energy bites that take less than 2 minutes to make and require no baking
Few notes about the ingredients.
You can use any nut or seed butter of your liking.
You can use any protein powder of your liking, just note make sure it is one you like the flavor as you will taste it. Or do all coconut flakes or gelatin if not a fan of protein power.
You can use any liquid sweetener of choice like honey or coconut nectar to replace the maple.
