A healthy twist on strawberry shortcake as a sandwich! Real food low sugar strawberry chocolate tahini melt on plantain bread. This recipe is gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free and low in sugar.


  • 1 recipe of individual plantain bread
  • 1 strawberry, sliced
  • about 1 oz of chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil


  1. In a medium skillet over medium heat melt coconut oil and place both slices of bread.
  2. Top one slice with tahini and the other with the strawberries and chocolate.
  3. Cook until chocolate begins to get soft.
  4. Place the tahini slice over the strawberry chocolate side .
  5. Press down as a sandwich.
  6. Enjoy.
