I am super grateful to be celebrating almost 3 years living eczema free. **Updated as I mentioned it was 4 years in the video but my truly healing journey in 2015. Thanks for understanding. I apologize.

I had someone ask me on Instagram how I handle eczema flare-ups and not let them get worse.

I do get eczema flare-ups every once and awhile, but each year they get less and less.

In today’s video, I will share my 4 step checklist to handling eczema flare-ups.

How to handle an eczema flare-up before it gets worse {my 4 step checklist}

For me the biggest things I notice is – I am highly stressed, not sleeping well and eating more sugar than normal.

I notice when I am not taking care of myself – fully – mind body soul. I am not fully engaged in my self-care routine, which helps me feel less stressed, my skin shows it.

How To Handle An Eczema Flare-Up Before It Gets Worse {My 4 Step Checklist} I am celebrating 4 years being eczema free and sharing how I handle when I experience an eczema flare-up. Please share this with anyone you know suffering from eczema.

Here are my 4 steps for dealing with eczema flare-up before it gets worse –

1 – Notice my stress. What is going on? Why is it stressing me out? What can I do to switch it? Don’t hide from it but face it. Am I saying yes too much to others and not myself.

I am not keeping to my boundaries.  Check out our video on boundaries.

I start to see where I can make things simple.  Check out this video on how to deal with overwhelm.

2 – Skincare routine. Have I been keeping up with my lotion routine?

3 – Diet. Did I overdo it somewhere? I don’t freak out, I just take notice and choose better. Have I been eating too much sugar? I go back to the basics – focus on getting my water in, eating a wholesome diet, and did I eat any of my personal trigger foods?

4 – Me time/emotions – Am I not playing enough and having fun?  Am I allowing my mind to wander through journaling and meditation to just be free? Am I addressing my emotions? Emotions are a big factor with eczema, what am I not facing.  Make sure to check out my video with Abby.
