Highlights of purelytwins life and shout-outs to our Purely Twins community
Highlights From Our Week:
Sisters having a chat.
The rain didn’t stop Madison.
We squeeze in some outside play time in between all the rain storms.
Lyla starting to grab at her toys.
Flourless chocolate plantain cake. A perfect way to end a higher carb day.
Getting back in shape, especially after baby #2, and being a mom can look easy on social media. But reality it’s hard work. I’m trying my best and figuring out life with 2 kids and being a mompreneur.
I am a little over 4 months postpartum and staying active the best I can.
The strength of my abs aren’t coming back as quickly as I would like, but I know healing the body after having a baby, let alone a second baby, takes time. I haven’t been sitting in proper alignment so I know this is making my healing journey take longer, and as a trainer, I know better. But it’s reality and I am okay with it. I am human. I am not perfect.
This belly carried 2 babies and I have not had surgery, extreme dieting or restrictions, or used any quick fixes to get where I am today. I am so proud of where I am today with my body!
I share my postpartum journey to be an inspiration. Not to be like, “oh look at me” or all the focus be on “abs” or showing off my body. I share my journey to be real, honest about my progress and to inspire other women to enjoy the journey, learn to love their bodies and to embrace a mindful active healthy lifestyle.
Also, my deep love of the core has grown so much since becoming a mom and dealing with diastasis. I know what it is like to have a weak core and have this scary bulge come out of your belly! That’s also why I share my abs here to promote what a strong core is, as it’s so much more than 6 pack abs.
There are deeper muscles that need more focus and attention and I hope to inspire girls to start taking care of their core now even before getting pregnant. And to be an inspiration to moms that it’s never too late to start training your core better.
She cannot wait to “move” and to keep up with her sister.
I treasure the times Madison wants to snuggle.
This has been a regular this week… haha whats new.
We love plantain waffles for quick easy healthy meals.
Playtime at the park, which it has been awhile due to all the rain. Look at all the green though!! Beautiful.

1) You ARE an inspiration;
2) You have a smokin’ body; and
3) You are not being boastful. You are tasteful and humble while still being proud and that’s great – what a great role model you are to your daughters. If the girls see you LOVING your body, they will love theirs and in this day in age, that is paramount. Your daughters won’t grow up with EDs. They will be happy and vibrant.
Love this blog. Love you girls.
Thank you!!! xoxo
