Weekly sparks

by purelytwins

Highlights of our week and shout outs to our Purely Twins community.

Highlights from our week:

Baby Lyla turning 2 weeks old.

Celebrated this little one turning 2 weeks old this past Thursday.

2 year old toddler playing at dino park Pismo Beach

I got to spend some outside playtime with Madison as Michelle watched Lyla for me. It was so nice to spend an hour with just her.

The weather here has also been super nice so we love getting outside when we can.

Silly girl! Madison is always keeping us on our toes.

Madison has been showing more and more interest in her little sister Lyla, which is so nice to see. This morning she even tried saying Lyla. Filled my heart with so much love.

Baby wearing 2 week old baby

Sometimes the only way I can get Lyla to sleep is if I am wearing here. Which I don’t mind ūüėČ

I loved wearing Madison so it’s nice to do it again with Lyla as they are only this small for a short time.

4 ingredient peanut butter chocolate chip cookies

We all enjoyed eating some yummy peanut butter chocolate chip cookies for dessert one evening.

We used our 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies and added in some Enjoy Life chocolate chips.

Irish coffee

Enjoyed a few Irish Coffee lately. It warms the soul.

We believe you can enjoy things in moderation as we talked about on IG.

She is growing up so fast. We are slowly (very slowly) getting a routine over here.

She is starting to have longer wake times during the day and each night varies. Some nights she is really good and other nights not so much. Nothing beats rocking a newborn to sleep.

I know the first 6 weeks are tough and we are getting through one day at a time.

Mom of two girls sharing her postpartum journey. Her belly.

Here I am 2 weeks postpartum. I’ve managed to get one round of my core work in each day the first 2 weeks postpartum with belly binding. Now moving forward I am focusing on doing at least 2 rounds or more of my specialized diastasis core work each day to continue to reconnect my TVA and pelvic floor muscles as I heal.

If you’re interested in seeing what I am doing on my postpartum fitness journey you can join me live as I go through my Retrain Your Core program¬†now.

playing-at-beach-in-californiaBefore our mom and older sister left town we enjoyed some family beach time. One of our favorite things to do.

Madison loves when it is sunny out as she gets to play in the water.

Michelle took¬†our mom and sister to¬†the child’s museum to let Madison play. Love watching her imagination¬†run.

Trying to workout at home with a 2 year old toddler jumping on you

Madison just loves when aunt Michelle is working out because that means she gets to jump on her.

Thank goodness our workouts are short and don’t take longer than 20 minutes.

High fat protein mush. Purely Twins famous breakfast.

Not only do we share our daily workouts inside membership we share what we eat too, like our high fat protein mush. A staple of ours.

We are super grateful for online stores like Thrive Market, Amazon, Perfect fit protein and US Wellness meats as they make buying food and other items so much easier to get as grocery shopping is a challenge now.

Plus we love how it saves us time and money! Win-Win!

Delicious beef sausage patties from US wellness meats

There are a few products we just love from US Wellness meats, which you’ve seen us eat before, but right now we’re loving their beef sausage patties. Madison loves them too.

Having some pre-made food sure saves us time in the kitchen. We have talked about our diet and how we not longer worry about being perfect as that only created a host of other issues for us. Now we just focus on foods that make us feel our best and make life fun (and easier).

This is what we want to inspire YOU to do too. Focus on what makes YOU feel your best and happy to sustain for life.

We finally got back in the kitchen to make you some new recipes.

Click here for the pancake recipe.

Using essential oils for stronger immune system

With the change of seasons coming and with a new baby in the house we are keeping our immune systems strong with our essential oils.

3 ways we attack germs in our house: roller balls, diffusing, and hand sprays.

We love essential oils as they have helped us in so many ways from supporting healthy immune systems, bedtime routines, hormonal and emotional support, skin care, more focused when working, household cleaning, keep our teeth clean, and much more. We love being able to incorporate essential oils into our every day lives in some way. If you’re interested in how we use them get our FREE ebook here.¬†

Do you all live together in California? For some reason I thought Michelle had her own place but it seems like she is always at Lori’s house – maybe it didnt make sense for cost reasons?

purelytwins September 13, 2016 - 4:20 am

Michelle does have her own place, but we spend most of our time at my place for various reasons. We run our business together and our best friends it just is what it is – we’re together ūüėČ

Is there a recipe somewhere for the high protein fat mush???

purelytwins September 13, 2016 - 12:23 pm

It’s made from protein powder, gelatin and coconut oil. We have a few different versions of this. We share the recipe and more of our eats inside our purely fit life club.:)
