6 books that will change your mindset on money

by purelytwins

You might be wondering why do we want to talk about money? This is a new topic for us to be sharing here in the purelytwins world and we will explain why below. Last year we realized some new blocks for us and a big one was money.

Does talking about money excite you? Make you feel sick to your stomach? Is it something you just put off dealing with?

Here at PT we are all about being purely you and being happy in ALL parts of life.

Money (finances) is a BIG part of life.

We feel money is a part of wellness – let’s refer to it as financial wellness. Just think about all the time and stress you worry about money that is putting a personal toll on your health. Our wealth is impacted by both our physical and mental health.

We never realized we had such major money blocks and fears holding us back in living our true potential. The more we read on this topic we realized having the thoughts, “I don’t have enough money,” is equal to not having self-worth.

A light bulb went off. This was us, which we have mentioned before about us not feeling worthy.

6 Books That Will Change Your Mindset On Money. They did for us! Don't you love when you find new books or resources that really affect your life? So deeply they force us to change our mindset. These money books have really helped us shift our money beliefs and therefore improving our lives. Do you know your money story? It's the first step in creating a new vision of peace and financial freedom. The last one is a must read!

Changing your money mindset will help improve your life

Last year our business coach really opened our eyes to this topic. She had us read books about it and answer some uncomfortable questions. Then as we kept working on our financial wellness mindset more books and resources came into our world. It is true – when you are ready, your teacher appears!  And we were telling the universe we were ready to change our money mindset and it provided the tools we needed.

If you’re lucky, certain books will appear in your life to inspire you and in some cases, affect you so deeply they force you to change your mindset.

As much as this area is a bit uncomfortable to talk about the more we learn about it the easier it becomes. You don’t have to be an entrepreneur to have money blocks.  Money affects us all. In different ways depending on how you were raised, what you heard growing up from friends, society, media and various other sources.

We’ve already shared 8 books that changed our lives; now we are sharing money mindset books. Here are 6 of the books that inspired us to view all parts of our life from a completely different angle. You might find them inspiring, too.

The 6 best money mindset books to change your money beliefs

1 – Get Rich Lucky Bitch by Denise Duffield-Thomas

This book was great. It helped us learn the importance of tracking our money, money forgiveness and getting comfortable with raising prices for our services.

2 – Leveraging the Universe by Mike Dooley

He shares 7 tips that help you on your money mindset journey. We had a lot of breakthroughs with this books like with his “cursed hows”. It made us more aware of how powerful speaking is around money.

3 – Work Your Wealth by Mary Beth

Great book that gets very detailed from more of the accounts you need to have, etc. It’s more “you need this and not that”, which we needed. A road map of what accounts we should set up for us personally and our business.

4 – Money: A Love Story by Kate Northrup

Amazing book. So many stories we could relate and really felt empowered. Kate really made it a safe place to feel okay to talk about money and create the life you want.

5 – The Art of Having It All by Christy Whitman

Another great book with stories that we related to and helped us feel less stress around money.

6 – Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

This is a must read. A classic money book that really explains everything. There is so much information in this book. We have the book and audio. A book we plan to read over and over as we learn something new each time.

It's okay to be spiritual and make money. God wants us to be abundant.

This is a new area of our life that we are excited to focus on and get more relaxed and comfortable with because it is so important for overall wellness. It has been over a year of us working on our money mindset and we have seen so many positive changes in our everyday life and business.

Life is more than money, but the idea is that you become more comfortable with money and find your self-worth. Create new beliefs that feel right to you. One thing that has helped us is focusing less on the numbers and more how can we make an impact in the world with our message. How can we serve more people.
