How to cheat at blogging. Easy way to blog with templates.

by purelytwins

Hey fellow dreamer!

In today’s PluggedIN video we discuss how we cheat at blogging. And thanks to everyone that joined us live on periscope. We learned that there is a pluggin that does this for you. Learn something new everyday.

Despite having a pluggin available that duplicates posts (that we learned about in the periscope) we show you how we manually do it. It really is easy.

We will probably continue doing it our DIY way because we already have enough pluggins on our site and it’s not good to have too many (too many can slow down your site). Plus we like using our templates. It helps us create our brand image so when others see an image of ours they will soon be able to recognize that it’s ours.

How to blog easier with templates to help build brand image.

If you enjoyed this video please share it with someone you know who would benefit from it. Thank you.

Why you need blogging templates and how to make them yourself.

DIY blog templates to make writing blog posts easier. The importance of blog template.

3 reasons having a blogging template is important:

  1. Allows you to blog faster. It makes it easier to write posts. You know the flow of your post and your readers can start to get the feel for your style and it let’s them get used to it.
  2. Creates a “look” for your blog. Helps with branding. Allows for new people to see your “similar” style so then over time they will associate that look with you! One thing we are getting better at over time. Don’t have to be perfect at it at first–it can develop over time!
  3. Makes your life easier. The best reason. We feel it also allows our blog to be easier to follow. We are busy girls and we don’t want to read a novel. We just want the info. Fast. So we try to provide that same feel here on our blog.

Your turn –>

Do you create templates for your posts?

Do you have tricks for writing blog posts?

Do you like long posts or short posts? Do you like blogs that use the same look or do you like different looks for each post?

We would love to hear your thoughts on this matter.

We know everyone has their own blogging style which is great. But we also like it when we go to a blog and they have a similar feel to every post we read (or at least for every topic they discuss). This is just our personal opinion.

Hi! I have a Periscope suggestion – if you are in a location with poor wireless, turn off the wireless on your phone and Periscope using data instead! Problem solved 🙂

[…] Do things in batches.  We try to make about 3-4 recipes in one day, which gets us about a months worth of blogging content as we do one recipe a week. Then we spend one day editing all the photos and videos. Now this doesn’t always happen, but we try. Check out how we cheat at blogging. […]
