Life just keeps getting more and more interesting over here.
Madison is now 8 months old.
I can’t believe it. Where has time gone?
I swear it feels just like yesterday that I was giving our first week update.
Madison is so full of personality.
She definitely knows what she likes and doesn’t like.
I can’t get over how much she has grown into a little mini me so quickly.
This month we have experienced several new FIRSTs.
She loves to laugh. Smile. Chat.
Really she enjoys just about anything as long as she is with someone she knows.
She still doesn’t do well with others holding her. New people she sits and stares at for awhile before she starts to feel comfortable with them. She is slowly starting to warm up to my parents.
She uses her whole body when she talks. Loves moving her hands and arms around.
She gets very serious when she does her baby talk.
She has a lot to say.
Madison loves to hold onto things to practice her standing.
I love seeing her try new things.
She is so curious and interested in everything around her.
Madison experienced for the first time:
Being in a pool.
Sticking feet in the sand.
Sticking feet in the ocean.
Being on Sanibel Island.
Everyday is different. Fun. Exciting. Challenging. And I love it all.
Everything is pretty similar to her 7 month update besides that she can do more things now. She is more interactive with her toys. Loves to eat. We are actually trying to teach her some sign language to help communicate with her. Just started this. I am curious and anxious to see how it goes. My niece did this and it worked out well.
Breastfeeding, solids, naps, sleep and cloth diapers are all going well. Nothing too major has changed with any of those. Still no teeth. Nurses about 5 times a day. Eats solids about 2-3 times a day. Sleeping through the night. Can put her pacifier in her mouth now without our help which is so nice. Almost crawling. I have a feeling it will be very soon.
We have good and challenging days.
I am looking forward to seeing many more ‘firsts’ with her.
Madison is enjoying her first family vacation at the beach.
I can’t imagine my life without her.
She lights up my world so much.
What is your favorite childhood family memory?
Do you take family vacations?
Do you like traveling to the beach?

I absolutely love these updates! My baby boy is about 3 weeks older than Madison and going through many of the same experiences, changes and “firsts”. He has been close to crawling for a couple weeks and I can’t wait for the day it finally happens. 🙂
me either!! so exciting right?
Looks like a nice time with family!
I’m curious about something. I noticed that you haven’t posted a new Move It Monday workout since early April. Are you moving away from fitness blogging/coaching into something else?
No we have a new workout video just haven’t had time to work on the post to get it published. The reason we stopped it a few weeks is because we did a kettlebell challenge for the past month so those were our workouts. We know are able to film new ones 🙂
Wow 8 months! I feel like I was just reading your pregnancy recaps- time goes fast! She is beautiful and definitely keeps you busy 🙂
thanks Jess. xo I feel like I was just pregnant too 😉

She’s such a darling! Congratulations! Wait until 4 months and she’ll be one year old 😀
Crazy to think about – her being one year old.
