What life is like lately

by purelytwins

Our schedule has been chaotic these past few weeks (when is life really ever normal?).  All of over the place from our workouts to Madison’s nap times to when we actually get to do work. Even our blogging schedule has been off course.

But that is life and we love it. We wouldn’t change it for the world.

We love waking up everyday doing what we love and how we get to inspire others to make positive changes in their lives too!  Thanks for letting us share our journey through life and growing our business here. It means so much to us to have your support.

The thing to remember is to wake up everyday with a grateful heart and just do something. Even if it’s small. We always tell ourselves – all these little projects will help get us closer to the big projects. We will be able to check off the BIG projects soon. We are keeping one foot in front of the other. Doing what we can with what we got.

In today’s video we highlight what our days have been like. With a 7 month literally  everyday is different.

As you saw in the video we have been enjoying smoothies and pancakes to start our day.

And some nights you just want a bowl of cereal with marshmallows for dinner! Well actually we are testing homemade lucky charms 😉 so we had to enjoy what we made right?

Despite the lack of sleep, days of a fussy baby (not sure if Madison is getting ready to have her first tooth or going through a growth spurt but she has been more fussy than she normals is), tired baby from not napping, tired mom and aunt we are all doing great over here.  We are soaking up every little moment in.

Madison is growing up so fast. She is getting so close to crawling, which we know will change our schedules and lives even more when that happens. So we are enjoying the routine we have now while it lasts.

Moms out there how do you handle the changes in your life routine with a baby?

Those super dark smoothies look so tasty. How did the homemade lucky charms turn out? If it’s good I hope you’re planning to share that recipe with us!!! Life with babies is ever changing and it just shows us how much more resilient we are to be able to roll with it like they do as they teach us new things daily.

The cereal part is good but our marshmallows got too soft. But once we get it done we will share it 😉

Are you considering childcare options for Madison (nanny or daycare)? Most employers will not permit an employee to work from home with young children in the house unless they have a nanny or daycare, simply because it is virtually impossible to be committed to work responsibilities AND parenting at the same moment. It is simply not productive. And so I think few parents can relate to this day-in-the-life, even if they work from home or are entrepreneurs, because their work-time and family-time are separate. I’m just curious because you two frequently write about your desire to grow your business but you seem to treat it more like an extremely time-consuming hobby than you do a job.

I also wonder why Michelle doesn’t just shoulder more of the business responsibilities (such as writing and publishing a blog post) on days when Lori needs more time with Madison? It would make more sense.

And to clarify – by “few parents can relate” I meant working parents. I think this day-in-the-life is very similar to a stay-at-home-mom, but not a work-from-home mom.

Thanks. Not really sure how to show more of us working because it is just as sitting at our computers or filming a video.

I clearly hit a nerve, which wasn’t my intention. It is simply that what you say about wanting your business to grow and succeed, and how you act/the steps you take, don’t seem very well aligned. There is a massive volume of business information, principles, growth strategies, etc. out there, but it seems like the advice you’re following (maybe from the business coach you’re working with?) is very different.

I do think that the overwhelming number of typos and grammatical errors is hurting your image, credibility, and growth potential. It contributes to the sense that you don’t really take any of this seriously. It isn’t professional, and it is so easily avoidable.

Yes we understand about the typos we are trying our best to get better at that. We apologize as it’s never our intention to have them. We have a great coach and have a lot of business strategies we are working on everyday. We are doing our best and our business is growing. There is a lot of information out there, so it can be overwhelming. We work hard everyday making small progress on our projects.

I love the mason jars and have been searching for large ones. How many ounces are they, and what do you use them for?

How did you select your business coach? Do you have any recommendations?

We honestly just came across her and signed up for her newsletter. Then hearing from a few times a week and listened to some of her teleseminars is when we decided to just go for it. There are a lot of business coaches out there if you need help let us know.

Those are not mason jars, they are glass cups 😉
