Day in life vlog with 5 1/2 month old and diastasis recti life

by purelytwins

Highlights from my day through what I ate and how I deal with diastasis recti on a daily basis.

I can’t believe I am almost 6 months part partum. A lot of you said that time will go by fast and it sure has!

I wanted to share what my life is like with having diastasis recti. Plus wanted to share what I ate in a day.

I hope you enjoyed spending the day with Michelle, Madison and me.

I will continue to share my journey of healing and any tips that I found helpful. Thanks for the continued support.

I am enjoying the healing process and know that each day my core is getting stronger. I am not perfect at always keeping my core engaged when I do things to protect my belly but I do my best.

Check out here for past post partum post and daily eats post.

What did you eat yesterday?

How are you enjoying St. Patty’s day?

We are getting our green outfits on and enjoying green marshmallows today!

I’ve been following you for many many years and not comment very often but I just had to say I see a new happiness and easy going-feeling in your videos. You both seem very balanced and honest persons and it is so nice to watch you spread that good feeling. Keep doing what you do, you do it great!

Have you seen a doctor about your DR?

Not since my 6 weeks post partum check-up

Hi Lori! I just watched your video. I’ve commented on your blog before because I had DR as well, but I had to get surgery to correct mine. Yours looks so extremely mild! My stomach looked like I was 5 months pregnant, even a year PP, even though the rest of me had gone back to normal. I think you are going to be fine – even if your separation does not heal completely, it’s barely even noticeable. You’re lucky that your abs are pretty flat and you can wear normal clothes! I was pretty much hiding my midsection all the time b/c it looked so bad. Anyway- I am currently 5 months pregnant with my second baby and I’m so scared that I will get DR again, though my surgeon said I shouldn’t because he sewed my abs back together so tightly that they should not tear/separate this time. I’m crossing my fingers. I’ve been trying to completely avoid ANY type of core exercise. Good luck and keep up the good work – and btw, Madison is ADORABLE!

thank you Rebecca. Congrats on your second pregnancy 🙂 that is one thing I am afraid of if I ever get pregnant again is my DR getting worse, but I am a little smarter now and will support it with bands, etc while pregnant, plus doing the correct core work to keep it strong. I will be thinking of you!! xo
