We are so excited to share this recipe for homemade teddy grahams that we have been working on for you.
We had written down this recipe idea when we were going through our homemade childhood cereal craze from cinnamon toast crunch to cocoa puffs to vanilla puffs to cookie crisp. We both loved teddy grahams as kids, but now we upgraded that childhood classic to be filled with healthy satisfying ingredients.
For those moments in life when you need a reminder of what being a kid again feels like.
Madison was looking at us like we were crazy because we were jumping for joy in the kitchen after we sampled a few. Saying to each other, “we did it!!”
Every time we took a bite of one of these deliciously tasty and crunchy teddy grahams it brought back memories of our childhood. We remembered how excited we felt when it was lunch time at school because we knew we had teddy grahams inside our lunchbox. Can’t wait for Madison to grow up with our homemade version of teddy grahams. A more mom-approved ingredient list!

We wanted to keep this grain-free and AIP friendly so we used tigernut flour as our main flour in this recipe. It worked perfectly. We absolutely love that flour.

A fun, healthy, quick homemade teddy grahams that are gluten-free grain-free dairy-free vegan. A new household favorite afternoon snack that are highly addictive and filled with mom approved ingredients.
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 13 minutes
- Total Time: 18 minutes
- Yield: about 45 mini teddy grahams 1x
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup – tiger nut flour (75g or 2 1/2oz)
- 1/4 cup – flaxmeal (1oz)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar (2oz)
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil, solid (1oz)
- 2 tablespoons coconut milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl place all dry ingredients.
- Stir.
- Add in coconut oil and coconut milk.
- Continue to stir.
- Will have to mold with hands to form dough.
- Roll out dough on non-stick surface.
- Cut out using a small bear shape or any shape you have.
- Place teddy grahams on cookie sheet and bake for 13 minutes.
- Let cookies cool and enjoy.
- Makes about 45 teddy grahams.
Substitutions:
To replace tigernut flour we recommend using almond or chestnut flour, or any gluten-free flour blend.
To replace coconut milk we recommend using almond milk or full fat milk.
To replace solid coconut oil we recommend using ghee or full fat butter or non-dairy butter of choice.

These look amazing! I have to try these, I’ve been cutting back on grains so these are perfect. I have seen tiger-nuts on a few blogs but can you buy them at the health food store? Or is that an online thing?

these are sooooooo gooooood. I made them with maple syrup replacing both the sugar and coconut milk. got the sweet and liquid all in one package! I’m going to grind them up to make a streusel topping for a berry pie!!!! Got my tigernut flour at bulk barn!
