Madison turning 4 months old update.
Seriously each month life gets better and better. Madison has changed so much since her 3 month update. Actually, I feel she changes on a daily basis. I look back at pictures off my iphone and see how much she has changed. I can’t believe she used to be so little once.
She is a healthy growing child and I feel so blessed to be her mother.
Hope you enjoy seeing Madison’s 4 month old update! Plus a little behind the scenes of our #selfiewithmadison
Madison had her 4 month doctor visit on Monday morning and the doctor said everything looks fantastic. That Madison is doing great. She now weighs 12 lbs 14oz. Growing little girl, but small like her mom and dad.
Finally found socks that fit her feet. Why is it so hard to find baby socks that fit? I still haven’t been able to find shoes that stay on her feet. Guess she has small feet. Again just like her mom.
Adore this outfit from Target.
Not sure where to begin. She hit a few milestones this past month.
She holds her head up so well.
She loves standing. She loves hearing her voice. She loves her hands in her mouth.
She has discovered her feet. She stares at them throughout the day. She loves rolling to her side and kick her legs all around.
She does great with tummy time. We aim to do 10-15 minutes once or twice a day. Some days she isn’t into it and is fussy while on tummy so we do 5 minutes.
I can’t get over how different each day really is over here. I never know what my day is going to be like which makes it still hard to plan things. I do most of my business work at night while she sleeps still.
Each day she is getting more and more interested in her toys!
Madison loves sitting in her bumbo seat to play with toys or watch me in the kitchen. She loves it when I sing and dance in front of her.
Oh and she is starting to laugh! My heart melts every time I hear it!!
Madison I must say is not the greatest napper. She loves her 30 minute naps. Mama doesn’t. As soon as I get her sleeping I hurry go run to do her diapers, pick up her room, make up wipes, get her diffuser going, finish my coffee, maybe get to emails, maybe check the blog, try to film a video, etc. I run around like a crazy lady during those precious 30 minutes.
It’s crazy how fast it goes. Before I know it she is awake.
She loves her jumper. She loves standing and moving around. Plus this is when big brother Jax likes to come over and give her lots of kisses.
Nighttime sleeping is still going strong! I am so blessed that Madison sleeps great at night. I do miss sleeping in the same room has her but I know she needs some independence. I love that she loves her crib.
Like I mentioned in her 3 month update we transitioned her to her crib and had no issues. Her bedtime routine is the same. She gets a bath just a few times a week. She has dry skin so I don’t like to over bathe her to dry it out more. At night we do nakey time. I started doing this when she had her bad diaper rash last month. It helped so much, plus I made a homemade zinc lotion that I feel helped it go away too.
Madison doesn’t like it when nakey time is over. She starts crying until her pjs are on and having her bottle (pumped breast milk). She is drinking about 4-5oz before going to bed. We read to her and say prayers before putting her in the crib.
Last night was our first night with no swaddle. She did great. No issues (knock on wood).
I am still nervous about the 4 month sleep regression. I hope Madison bypasses this 😉
Breastfeeding is going well. She hasn’t fought the breast in awhile. Yay! Happy mom. She does get very distracted while nursing now. The room has to be quiet or else she is constantly pulling off the breast to look around. When that happens I feel like she doesn’t get a good nursing.
I don’t stress too much anymore if I am providing enough breast milk because she is growing. I used to stress so much if she was getting enough. I normally pump 2-3 oz out of one side, but I never knew if that was enough. But seeing her grow and thrive I know she is happy and healthy.
Madison loves to grab my skin while nursing. I have bought a teething necklace that I plan to start wearing more to see if that helps distract her hands. Because it hurts. Amazing her little fingers are so strong!
I am looking forward to seeing her get more intrigued with toys plus watching her get stronger and stronger.
I love watching her study a new toy, a new room or a new person. At first she is very quiet and just stares. Like she is really studying whatever the object is. After awhile she gets comfortable and starts chatting away. She has one high pitch!
Madison loves making bubbles and playing with her tongue. She loves mornings. She loves being tickled. She loves being held. She loves airplane.
Not a fan of naps. Not a fan of getting changed. Not a fan of getting out of bath. Not a fan of doing nothing. Gets bored.
I have noticed her getting more interested in food and our doctor did mention when she is 5 months old we can slowly start introducing some solids. Nothing too crazy. I am not sure yet what I am going to do.
Hope you liked seeing how we do our mirror selfies in the video.
Madison adores the mirror. Anytime we walk by one we stop and smile. Love it.
She is growing and changing so fast. Time is flying by. I wish I could make it stop or slow down.
I love snuggling with her and I do it as much as I can. Stop growing up Madison 🙂
