Chicken bacon bbq fries (gluten and grain free)

by purelytwins

Are you ready to eat some delicious fries for dinner?  More specifically chicken bacon bbq fries made with plantains.

It’s totally acceptable for dinner.

We have a confession.

The idea of eating only fries for dinner would have been unheard of for us a few years ago. Chocolate? Oreo cake? Raw creamcake? Absolutely!

But fries?

Really? What are we thinking 😉

Fries make it a good excuse to use our fingers! Food tastes better when eating with fingers, right? C’mon you know you have done it! We love eating with our fingers. #nojudgingplease

We admit we weren’t huge nacho fries fans. Sure, we enjoyed a good french fry growing up. Things have changed. Our tastebuds have changed. Usually we prefer splurging on a good dessert for a treat… but these bbq bacon fries have us debating…

We wanted to create a fry recipe that would satisfy our more grown-up taste buds.

Yes please! Please excuse us as we wipe the drool off our faces!

Simple plantain fries are all we need to build the most heavenly savory platters. A platter that is bursting with bbq flavors! We love bbq and homemade bbq bacon fries are even better.

Honestly, our bbq plantain fries taste pretty amazing hot out of the oven, but when you top them with more bbq chicken and goat cheese, um hello they become phenomenal. Crispy plantain fries, crunchy bacon, melted goat cheese and the secret to these fries’ indulgent taste is the bbq flavor. Double bbq flavor!

From the bbq fries to the bbq chicken..the end result is fries coated in never ending bbq flavor.

How to make ‘healthier’ homemade chicken-bacon bbq fries with goat cheese.

The first hit of bbq flavor comes from our bbq fries spices. Second hit of bbq comes from our super easy and healthy bbq sauce. Toss the fries and bake them, then coat chicken in bbq sauce to create one killer combo.

They’ll bake into a spectacular, crunchy pan of bbq fry goodness.

These fries are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
