Caramel Sauce


To make apples

  1. Place a little coconut oil in skillet and heat over medium heat.
  2. Place apples slices in pan and toss around in oil.
  3. Next add in spices and toss around to coat apples.
  4. Cook apples until soft.

To make pancakes

  1. Place dry ingredients into a bowl and stir together.
  2. Next stir in coconut oil and coconut milk.
  3. *If you prefer sweeter pancakes you can add a few drops of stevia
  4. Batter will be thick and easy to work with.
  5. Place pancakes onto hot skillet. Let cook for a few minutes.
  6. Lightly press pancake batter down to flatten pancakes.
  7. Then flip and continue to cook a few more minutes.

To make caramel sauce

  1. Place soaked dates in blender with coconut milk and coconut butter.
  2. Blend until smooth. May need to add some water.

To make caramel apple pie pancakes

  1. Stack pancakes.
  2. Top with caramel sauce and sliced apples.
  3. Pancakes are best the day they are made.
  4. Can store in refrigerator for 2-3 days.
