Fig newton bread made with almond butter (gluten free, grain free, dairy free, paleo)

A healthy alternative to the classic fig newton cookies. Gluten-free grain-free dairy-free paleo almond butter fig newton bread. A rich delicious nut butter bread that is packed with fresh figs!

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. First blend 4 – 6 figs in blender until smooth.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Make almond butter bread
  5. Pour half the bread batter into bread loaf pan. We used a 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 loaf pan.
  6. Spread fig puree over batter.
  7. Layer with fresh fig slices.
  8. Pour the rest of the almond butter batter over fig puree.
  9. Layer with more fresh fig slices.
  10. Place bread into oven and bake for 45 -50 minutes.
  11. Let bread cool in pan a few minutes.
  12. Remove from pan.
  13. Slice and enjoy.
