Gluten-free, grain-free fig newton bread recipe using real ingredients.
Happy Wednesday luvs!
I started my morning with a little yoga followed by breakfast and Starbucks coffee. Everything needed for a perfect morning, right? haha. Lori and her boys will be traveling back today and I have a doctors appointment. Hopefully this doctor will have some new insight to what is going in with my legs.
While I sit and wait at the doctor’s, please enjoy today’s recipe! This recipe is perfect for all fig lovers.
It is funny for us to think about how much we love figs. The obsession started about 6 years ago. We both remember the day when we were first introduced to FIGS. We were selling our baked goods at the farmers’ market and one of our regular customers brought us figs. She asked us if we have had them before and we answered no.
It was love at first bite.
How did we go for so long without eating them? How did we ever survive without figs in our life?
As much as we love figs they are pricey.
But worth every penny!
Gluten free, grain free paleo fig newton bread
Growing up Lori enjoyed fig newton cookies with our second older sister. I, Michelle, could easily say no to a fig newton. I would try them from time to time but just could not get into the taste like Lori did. She loved them.
Anyone else like fig newton cookies growing up?
Today we are returning to our childhood and remaking Fig Newtons the way they always should have been 😉 … as a warm, soft, full of flavor fig bread! Fig newton bread – yes!
