My baby shower went well. I was a little stressed beforehand but it all turned out wonderfully. I could not be more grateful and honored to be able to share this experience with close friends and family.Β Michelle and I were happy to get in the kitchen to make a few goodies for everyone to snack on at the baby shower.
I am so happy that my mom was able to make it to this baby shower as well. Β I want to say a huge thanks to Michelle for helping out and taking the pictures for me to remember this special moment. Thanks sis!
I cannot believe I am at 34 weeks!!! Less than 6 weeks to go (give or take). Baby M will be here so soon π We all can’t wait!!
34 weeks and proud of my baby bump and body. I feel pregnancy can be very sexy and I love how everyone’s baby bump is different: Β making us each beautiful in our own way. I only wish to continue to inspire other moms-to-be that taking care of yourself before getting pregnant is just as important as taking care of yourself during it. And to inspire other moms to love their curves and be proud of who they are! Β We all carry and show different, which makes pregnancy so special. Β Don’t let others bring you down even while being pregnant. Embrace your changing body!Β
PREGNANCY WEEK 34 UPDATE:
Current food cravings? Β
Little bit of everything still. All kinds of foods are tasting good to me. I am still eating the same overall though some days I do feel more hungry so I eat more those days. Always listening to my body and doing my best to nourish it through a well balanced diet – mostly real foods based withΒ some fun mixed in too!
From raw cashew biscottiΒ (recipe in our purely classic recipe cookbook).
To fresh juices.
To plantain soft batch cookies.
To baked plantains.
And TCBY frozen yogurt. This was a treat while here on our baby moon at the beach. Growing up I loved the cookie dough, so this was a special treat for me and brought back so many wonderful memories. And nothing beats ice cream or frozen yogurt at the beach π
Any symptoms?
Similar things as I have mentionedΒ previous weeks.
Sleep is getting worse each week. I toss and turn a lot. Get up to go pee once or twice. Get hot then cold throughout the night. Fun times.
Energy and mood are great! Keeping my nerves and stress level down the best I can. Enjoying these last few weeks before my whole life changes. Some days I do feel I get more tired than others.
No swelling. Wedding ring is still on.
Stretch marks?
Donβt really see any.
Miss anything?
A good drink. Β A good night’s sleep. Coffee – lots of coffee.
How is your skin?Β
MyΒ skinΒ is doing great! No complaints! 3rd trimester of pregnancy has treated my skin great. Well, my skin on my face… my back is another issue.
How is digestion?Β
DigestionΒ is doing great. Bowel movements are going well. No major complaints, just minor things.
Total weight gain/loss?Β
Belly is bigger so know I continue to gain some. I don’t weigh myself until I go into the doctor’s which I go to this Friday. So we will found out how much I have gained so far.
Enjoying my baby bump at the beach for our baby moon! More highlights next week.
How is baby M doing?
She is doing great. Moves and kicks frequently. And she gets the hiccups sometimes, which is such a different feeling compared to the kicks. Love it all.
She is about the size of a cantaloupe or honeydew (depending what site) withΒ weighing about 4 3/4 pounds (approximately as every pregnancy is different)Β and is almost 18 inches long!
NOW FOR MY PREGNANCY WORKOUTS FROM LAST WEEK:
If you would like more help with pregnancy workouts (pre, during and post) please come check out purely fit pregnancy.. Come workout with me every day and I promise to keep you strong and healthy during your pregnancy so you can bounce back afterwards. Β Promise I will keep it fun too.Β
Monday β filmed purely training #75
Wednesday β rest day
Thursday β rest day
Friday β cleaned the house
Sunday β 30 minute walk
I was not nearly as active this past week as I have been during this pregnancy. It happens. I know I don’t have to over kill it at this special moment in my life.
Pregnancy is not about making new goals but just staying strong and healthy! Β I had other things that needed to happen so I took it easy this week.
Overall my body is still feeling great! I do feel a little weak with certain exercises. I know I will gain my muscle and strength back post-pregnancy, so I am not worried. I enjoyed my rest days. I respect and love my changing body!
I know working out while pregnant is not for everyone and each pregnancy is different. I just like to workout, even while being pregnant.
The body is an amazing thing and I feel working out during the majority of my pregnancy has helped me and baby M on so many different levels. Always do what is best for you and your baby.
Now for final nursery pics (well pretty much final, I still have a few more things to get) plus second baby shower pics. Β See my first baby shower down in Florida here.
During the week we got the house ready and all the thank you gifts for our guests.
We put together a mini doTerra sample packet for everyone. Each person received some information on lavender essential oil, a sample of the lavender oil and a brochure about using essential oils with children.
And the winners of our baby shower games received some doTerra hand lotions! Β We love being able to spread our joy and excitement along with the healthΒ benefits from using these oilsΒ with others.
It brings me such happiness to see how the house turned out for this baby shower. I love spending time in the nursery!! Every time I go in there I am filled with joy and happiness. I can’t wait to see baby M in her room π
Love the shelving that Gary put up. Β We got the shelves from IKEA.
Finally got the bedding for the mattress.
Also, we bought a white nightstand from IKEA to put next to rocker.
We found a simple grey and white lamp from the Land of Nod. It was difficult for me to find a lamp that I liked, but after some research I found one. Thank goodness to online shopping as I was not finding anything local I liked.
Nursery is all set.
And baby M’s bathroom is all ready too. We even got water toys for her once she is bigger of course.
I kept the bathroom simple with decorations. I hope to add more over time. I am not in a rush. Taking it slow. Just like the rest of the nursery… I hope to add a few more decorations here and there over the course of time. Maybe something with her name on it or something like that.
Michelle caught me getting ready for the shower.
Everything all ready for the guests to arrive.
Front entry way all ready with thank you gifts that we handed out to all the guests. They were filled with lavender doTerra essential oil samples and some information.
Kitchen area was the drink area.
The food table. It was filled with a variety of goodies and fresh fruit.
Protein plantain banana bread with a simple banana glaze on top.
Two flavors of egg frittatasΒ (the original recipe was from 21 day detox book from Diane, a great book!). These were so good.
Gluten-free cinnamon sugar scones. The original recipe for scones is in our purely classic cookbook.
Also made our famous raw biscotti. Cashew vanilla and chocolate mesquite. Β The original recipe for biscotti is in ourΒ purely classic cookbook.
And Gary bought me (for the shower) two beautiful flower arrangements!!
Love, love, love!! Thanks sweetie!!
With everything ready to go — it was show time. Baby M and I were ready!
One of the games that we played was guess my belly size. It was around 39 inches. Baby bump action π
It was a wonderful baby shower. Baby M received lots of fun things!
Baby bump twin action. Β I love taking these belly shots with Michelle as it will be fun to look back on these photos.
I will share highlights from Gary’s and My baby moon next week along with more updates.
Do you like attending baby showers? Β Any fun games that you have played at a baby shower before?
What was your favorite thing about your nursery?
Do you crave more ice cream or yogurts during these hot summer days? Any TCBY fans?

Thanks Whitney!
Your nursery looks beautiful π What a lovely baby shower as well, some people do them here in the UK but they aren’t that common. I’m just off for a shopping trip with my Mum today to hopefully get everything else we need. Can you believe how quick time is going for us? I had a scan on Monday – not sure if you get another later scan with being on clomid like I did? It was wonderful and they estimate my baby is around 5lb10 already! Perfectly healthy and a healthy size which is great. Enjoy the rest of your 34th week!
I can’t believe how fast time is going…not long left at all! Today marks exactly 4 weeks to my due date…so exciting! The nursery looks awesome. Love the use of patchwork quilts to add colour to the room. Really glad that you had a lovely baby shower too. π

I freaking LOVE that rocker!!!…and the whole nursery, of course! But, that rocker looks so comfy and big enough for mom and baby to move around. Plus, that nightstand next to it just compliments the gray so well. Love it!
Loved your baby shower too π
