I am 30 weeks pregnant!!! That means friends that I have less than 10 weeks left to go. I am about 6 1/2 months pregnant. CRAZY!!
I am starting to get those feelings of I just want to clean and organize the house all the time. It’s hard at the moment as we are still going through house remodeling. They are doing the downstairs floors this week. It should be all done this Friday!!!
I am super excited to have it all done so I can get my house back to normal and ready for baby M. Also, I am excited about our mom coming to visit us for a few days. We have some shopping and other things planned. Yay! Love when the parents come to visit.
Special moments over the weekend were Michelle taking some maternity pictures. I had a great time. I love that I will be able to look back at the photos to remember my first pregnancy.
We tried to get Jax in a few of them. He wasn’t being very cooperative.
When I get more of the photos edited I will share them.
The weather was not the greatest this past weekend, so we couldn’t do that many photos. Â We hope to try again another weekend.
I am definitely feeling pregnant now. My belly is getting big!
I finally found a ottoman for the rocker in the nursery. I got it from the Land of Nod. I wanted a little bit of color so I went with a aqua blue color. I love it.
Now I am in the mood to figure out how to best organize the nursery with clothes, books and toys. I have been pinning a few different things and looking on instagram for inspiration. So many great ideas now I just need to figure out what I want to do.
I love the shelf idea a lot. But also want a place to neatly store all the toys. Â I don’t have that much room in the nursery so I am trying to make the most out of the space we do have in the room.
 PREGNANCY WEEK 30 UPDATE:
Current food cravings? Â
Nothing too crazy over here. I’m pretty much enjoying little bit of everything from sweet to savory. Loving it all. I have been on a big cacao nibs kick. I seem to sneak in bites of them everyday. Love the bitterness of them. Weird I know but it’s true. Â Similar cravings as last week.
Here is what I ate yesterday.
Started my day with my usual protein frosting mush with half caff bulletproof coffee. Love starting the day with protein and healthy fats. Baby M likes it too. Always kicking away after I eat this 😉 She must like her coconut oil too!
Lunch was half of this green juice.
After drinking the juice I enjoyed some raw spiralized zucchini, parsnip fries, and ground bison. I topped this meal with coconut oil and some ghee. And sea salt.
Late afternoon snack before my daily walk was coconut milk mixed with some gelatin, stevia and cacao nibs. And a few fresh figs!
New item that Michelle and I got from Whole Foods. We sprinkle it on some of our meals.
Dinner was plantain bread served with steamed broccoli, sautéed greens, half avocado, coconut oil and ghee. And felt like nutritional yeast so I sprinkled some on too.
Dessert was some mint coconut ice cream. YUM.
Any symptoms?
Belly still itching. My sleeping is decent. Still no fancy pillows. I seem to sleep better when I don’t add any extra pillows. I just sleep normally but favoring my left side. I am still going pee, have my diffuser going to help me sleep (currently I diffuse onguard and breathe). I have been experiencing random mood swings the past few days. I’ve been a little grumpy. Not sure what is going on there… damn hormones.
No bloating or any major swelling yet. No fatigue. My energy is fairly normal and I am still able to do most things without any issues.
My dreams are normal. Nothing too crazy or wild yet!
I am still wearing my wedding ring.
Stretch marks?
Don’t really see any new ones. I am not really looking though.
Miss anything?
Nothing too major this week. Just the same that I mentioned a few weeks ago. Overall I am enjoying my 30 weeks.
How is your skin?Â
My skin is doing great! No major complaints! I am so happy with how well my skin is doing!! I am on cloud nine over here. As this is so huge for me. Coming from years and years of battling cystic acne and depression, I am overjoyed. Everyday I wake up telling myself how lucky I am and how I overcame adult acne! I feel I have more of the pregnancy glow that you here so much about. If you are interested in seeing how I take care of my face – click here to see my updated face wash.
How is digestion?Â
Digestion is doing great. I am having great bowel movements everyday. Sometimes I don’t ‘go’ in the morning like I usually do but then I tend to go later in the day. Huge improvement from years ago. I am so happy to have a great handle on my bowel movements during pregnancy.
Being constipated is not fun, especially during pregnancy.  It has been a long battle to get where I am today and I am so proud of how well my body is doing. All the hard work is paying off 🙂
No extra gas or bloating either.
Total weight gain/loss?Â
Well I had a check up yesterday so I know how much I weigh. I have gained about 12-15 pounds. My doctor is very pleased with my weight and how everything is progressing.
My baby bump is growing right on target. And my blood pressure is great. Michelle and I have always had low blood pressure and during my pregnancy it still has been low. The doctor is always so impressed.
Baby bump action!
How’s baby M?
She is doing great!! Â Her heartbeat is 155. Nice and strong. This makes mama happy.
According to some online pregnancy sites she is about 15.7 inches long now and weighs almost 3 pounds. Her brain is getting smarter by the minute. Crazy to think about.
She is still kicking away. Love those little kicks so much!
I am still kicking away each week in my daily workouts.
I am feeling strong and full of energy most days to do them.

Michelle and I have been discussing how the workouts will probably be changing soon around here. We might start filming separate videos as my pace is slowing and I don’t want to hold Michelle back in her workouts.
Thanks as always for letting me share my first pregnancy journey with you. I am deeply honored to be sharing all the details with you. I can’t believe I have less than 10 weeks to go before baby M arrives!! Eeekk! Things are getting real around here. I finally signed up for a private birthing class at home and started to look at the other hospital classes for Gary and I to take to help prepare us as new parents. I feel like I have so much to do still, but feel like I am running out of time.
I haven’t talked that much about labor yet. I am trying my best to not over think it and realize my body knows what to do. To be honest at times I feel more nervous about breastfeeding than labor. I have read a few birthing books and started to write down some things I want to happen at labor. I am hoping for a natural birth. I will continue to share my thoughts and ideas here soon.
Any suggestions for organizing toys and books?
What classes are worth taking?
What were you feeling when you were at 30 weeks pregnant? Â Any funny stories?
What you are up to for today? Any fun plans this week or weekend? Do you like it when your parents come to visit?

You look so beautiful and happy and glowing with love!
thank you Sylwia 🙂 xo
Lori – how much gelatin & coconut oil do you add to your mush?
I love this black&white photo – you look stunning!
thanks Olga, it depends on the mush and what I feel like, anywhere from 1-3 tbsp gelatin to 1-2 tbsp oil.
Love the ottoman! SO cute! Glad you’re feeling well. Yayy – getting close!
thanks Erica! yes getting closer and closer 😉
Well as fellow 30 week pregnant lady I can relate to a lot of that, 10 weeks to go seems to make it all the more real doesn’t it! Glad you’ve been getting all clears from the doc, I’ve been getting great feedback from my midwife on my health as well which is very reassuring. Hope you enjoy the rest of your 30th week!
thanks Laura, same to you!! 🙂
I’m at 30 weeks tomorrow and feeling great! This has been a pretty easy pregnancy, save for the nighttime indigestion. But I have noticed that when I workout, I start to get these weird side pain cramps that are very uncomfortable. I have to ask my doc when I see him this week what’s going on, but I usually stop the workout and walk around until it goes away.
On another note, I’m excited to see what nursery looks you come up with! We have NO CLUE yet what we want to do with his room!
Pua glad things are going well for you, sorry to hear about the side cramps. I sometimes get minor cramps when I go for my walks, they don’t last long and after a while the go away. I don’t get them all the time, very random.
Oh man those photo’s look amazing!! So professional looking, Michelle did a great job and you look so great in them 🙂
thanks Kat!!! I am so honored to have Michelle take the pics, she did do a great job!!
You look beautiful!
Thank you Becca!
Awww, awesome pic from your maternity shoot! Can’t wait to see the other pics 🙂
Thanks for sharing your first pregnancy journey with us. I’m planning for a family in the next year or two and I love reading about how everyone deals with their pregnancies and births and postpartum. Everyone is so different. I’m a type-A person with a tendency to worry and the more I read about getting pregnant and having kids, the more I realize how much I have to release my worry and go with the flow….especially during birth!
I can’t wait to see how you continue to incorporate EOs in your journey. Mamanatural dot com used clary sage EO on her belly when she couldn’t birth the placenta after her second baby. About 5 minutes after applying the oil, it came out! I have heard the same thing happen with a specific herbal tea remedy but I don’t remember the ingredients. I’m sure raspberry leaf was one of them.
Anyways, congrats on everything. You so deserve it and I can just imagine the bliss you feel now will be multiplied a gazillion times once baby gets here 😉
Thanks Brooke!! You will do great on your journey. I tend to over worry about everything too. Yes I have already my list of EOs I want during labor 😉
I love the bookshelf idea you pinned! I want to do something similar, too. For the most part our nursery is done but like you, I’m constantly getting things in order around the house! You look so fantastic- love those maternity photos. 30 weeks is really getting close!!
Thanks Laura!
You look SO amazing! And I love the blue ottoman poof! I want one!!
I need to look into gelatin. I keep remembering to but then immediately forgetting. Oops!
That black and white photo is stunning! You look absolutely amazing!
Best wishes for a smooth rest of your pregnancy… not long now! 🙂
Amazing pictures! Also I’m wondering if you guys could post some ways to make “MUSH”? Would really love to make some.
Thanks
