Eating some soft cocoa brownies (an old recipe that we’ve updated, we will share soon) before Michelle left town.

healthy homemade granola

Making homemade granola for Gary’s breakfast during the week. Though I’ve been taking a few nibbles everyday, shh don’t tell him. I forgot how addicting this stuff is 😉

I followed the original recipe but doubled the buckwheat groats instead of adding in coconut flakes (did not have any in house). And I did pumpkin seeds not sunflower seeds. And a mix of almonds and pecans. And added in orange zest and juice from one juice. And tossed in dried blueberries. I started this granola in the oven for about 30 minutes, than I realized it does better in the dehydrator. So I switched it into my dehydrator and dehydrated it for about 5-6 hours I believe. Perfection. Crispy and full of flavor.
