In today’s Purely Talk we are back in the kitchen making some yummy and healthy treats with you.

Raw, paleo, grain-free cake batter dough balls and pumpkin protein dough ball truffles!

We mean who doesn’t love some good cake batter? Right?

We know we fell head over heels in love with this recipe. Yes, we say that about all our recipes. But honestly these cake batter truffles have been a favorite of ours for a long time. Ever since we discovered coconut butter many years ago.

They are soooooooo easy to make.

With just a few ingredients and you have yourself yummy healthy raw cake batter truffles.

These are not your average cake batter dough balls that we are sure you’ve seen around the internet or all over pinterest. Nope.

healthy raw cake batter dough truffles

Healthy raw vegan paleo cake batter dough balls and pumpkin protein dough balls made with coconut butter.

Ingredients

  • Original cake batter dough ball:
  • 1 tablespoon coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoons applesauce (or maple syrup or honey)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • sprinkles (as many as you want)
  • few drops stevia (omit if you are using maple or honey)
  • 12 tablespoons water (add in if needed, probably won’t need when using maple syrup)
  • Pumpkin protein cake batter dough truffle:
  • 1 tablespoon perfect fit protein powder (or any protein powder or coconut flour)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • sprinkles (if you would like)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 56 drops of liquid stevia
  • 1 tablespoon water (if using coconut flour)
  • Tahini dough balls:
  • 1 tablespoon protein flour of choice or coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoons tahini
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • sprinkles (if desired)
  • 56 drops liquid stevia
  • 2 tablespoons water (if needed)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl place coconut flour (or protein powder) and coconut butter.
  2. Add in vanilla extract and applesauce (or maple syrup or pumpkin).
  3. Stir.
  4. Add a few drops stevia and water.
  5. Stir.
  6. Batter will be thick.
  7. Add in sprinkles.
  8. Scoop and roll.
  9. Dip in chocolate sauce to make a truffle.
  10. Coat in coconut flakes, cinnamon sugar, sprinkles.
  11. Have fun!

Hi stupid question: but does coconut butter need to be melted? and can you use coconut oil instead or any other sort of substitute?

Lauren we make them in the video 😉 But no the butter is not melted. And we talked about oil in the video but really butter is best or a nut butter.

currently we are using WholeFoods plain stevia, it is cheaper than sweet leaf, which is another brand we really like.
