Last week we traveled down to Orlando for a few days to work with Raw Threads Athletics at the Disney Tower of Terror 10 miler race expo. Many of you that have been following us for a long time now know that we work part-time with our sisters athletic bamboo apparel company at some of the fitness expos. Michelle usually goes to more races than me, but this time I was there for the action.
Sipped on some starbucks as we waited for our ride to pick us up from airport.
Snacked on plantain bread with coconut oil for a quick lunch.
Then it was time to set-up the booth.
Set-up day is a long day. Fun to hang up and layout the booth, but it takes a lot of time. Especially with so many designs and clothing to get hung.
But we are still all smiles by the end of it.
We even did a few push-ups and lunges in the booth 😉 Love being able to squeeze in a little movement when we can.
Our mom made white curtains for each corner of the booth to help bring some color to the booth with black lights giving the light. The whole booth turned out beautiful. We were so proud.
Loved all the new designs our sister designed. Especially the mustache racer. If you know about the rave about mustache you will adore those shirts!
Raw Threads booth turned out great. And everyone loved the glow in the dark running shirts, especially since the race was at night!
After a long day of setting up we were hungry for dinner! Salmon with plantains and brussel sprouts coated with tahini!! So good!
The next morning before we had to get ready for day number one of selling at the expo, so we woke up early to get a mini workout in. We did a round of our 100 rep challenge from our purely fit life home workout program and some kettlebell swings with dumbbells with a little bit of planking.
Short and simple.
Day one here we go.
Disney even had some smoke fog to provide as nice spo0ky feel to the expo.
A few last minute walk rounds to make sure everything was in place.
Bamboo socks (love love love) and sparkly bow bamboo headbands (love love love). The bow headbands are new and they turned out amazing.
Adorable aren’t they? A great accessory for any running or workout outfit! And they are comfortable enough to wear everyday.
Day one outfits were some new designs – Michelle little red riding and Lori big bad wolf.
The backs were super cute too.
Think we found our halloween costumes 🙂
They glow in the dark too!! Perfect!
Day one of the expo was crazy. The first few hours were nuts. People everywhere. But all in all it was a great day with no major issues. Disney did a great job with traffic flow and everything seemed to go very smoothly.
Day two outfits: Lori mermaid and Michelle pirate girl. We did not get a chance to really take many pictures. As day 2 was crazy and had to take down the booth. Which is a long process as well. But we had a great time at the Disney Tower of Terror race!!
We did not run the race on Saturday night. We were exhausted. Maybe next year we will.
We kept our dinners each night simple and pretty much the same – Plantains, coconut oil, tahini, canned tuna or salmon and brussel sprouts. One night we did have an avocado. Sunday morning we did enjoy some bacon.
We made plenty of plantain bread. So addicting and oh sooo good.
We enjoyed a few different varieties of our plantain bread. Perfect!!
And to end the long few days down in Disney we went out for a short 8 minute sprint interval to work the body some. It’s amazing from just standing straight for 10+ a day for a few days in a row really makes you tired. But going for a sprint really helped loosen things up. To our purely fitters hope you enjoyed your sprint cardio session too!
Overall we had a great weekend working, plus it is always great to see the older sis! She works so hard, she inspires us everyday to keep working hard for our dreams.
Twins Question: How was your weekend? Ever ran a night race? Do you know your halloween costume yet?
