temperature testing

Happy Friday luvs!!

Big smiles today. It’s Friday. Have a long weekend ahead to enjoy too!  Plus we should have beautiful weather – even bigger smiles 🙂

Thank you all so much for the sweet words yesterday about PCOS. It is amazing to hear that so many of you suffer from it as well. Crazy! Gotta love those hormones? I am actually not stressing too much about having it because I know that I can heal it. And knowing I have it does take a lot of stress off my shoulders in a way. I have been doing a lot of reading about it and everything is starting to make sense. I will elaborate more on what I mean here soon.

And we are so happy that you guys liked our first Purely Talk video. More on the way! Going along with what we said in the video we are starting to take our body temperature and pulse.

Our workout yesterday was from our Tone it Up girls!

We did their bikini series Santorini workout.

We also did our push-ups for #whatsbeautiful purelyfit team challenge. We did forget to do our headstands.

After our workout it was time to get ready for the day and enjoy our warm lemon water.  Although, before actually getting up out of bed we took our body temperature and pulse. We were both very low. Lori’s around 95.5 and pulse around 52bpm. (If I am doing this correctly). Michelle’s temperature was 96.09 with a pulse of 43 (think I missed counted, haha I was half awake).  We have always had low blood pressure just wanted to note that.

cookied bananas

Breakfast was fabulous. Made a very green juice (cucumber, kale, fresh mint, and romaine). We have been trying to put no fruit in our juices or lemon since we have lemon water in the morning now. So they are very green. But drinking it with our sweet bananas and eggs helps.

Cooked up our bananas yesterday too. Oh wow! Why did we never do this before. We do love our raw bananas but wow cooking them up brings them to a different level! Mixed with coconut oil on top = perfect breakfast.

Experimented with taking temperature and pulse after breakfast.  They went up some from breakfast but still not where we want them to be. So we have some work and more experimenting to do. Both of our temperatures went down a little but pulse went up. Not sure what that means.

Love this dog! Just sayin.

lunch 1

Lunch was spiralized summer yellow squash with some salmon, sardines, avocado, coconut oil.  Delicious.

And around 3pm we took our temperature and pulse again. Lori – both temperature and pulse went up. About 96.6 temperature and 55bpm. Michelle’s numbers were close to that.

This is just day one really of doing these tests so we are not drawing any conclusions just yet. We are waiting to have a few days of numbers before getting too concerned. Plus we are still do researching, and you have to take it a lot of things not just base things off one test.

salmon dinner

Lori’s plate

Dinner was white rice, sautéed swiss chard, coconut oil, grilled salmon, avocado and a little turnips.

We both had a good day yesterday. Both got a ‘full’ belly feeling at night. Somewhat bloated belly, nothing that bad but just making note of it. Thinking it was too much protein at one meal.

We are so proud of ourselves because yesterday we were very productive. We got a lot of little projects done! Feeling good. Some of those changes you might have already started to see on the blog. We changed the header a little, added some things to the sidebar, and updated our blog about page, personal training page, and individual about pages – lori and michelle. Make sure to check it all out and let us know your thoughts 🙂  We still have to update the RECIPE page, we are way behind on that!

We want to say happy 2 year anniversary to FitFluential. We are so honored to be apart of this amazing fitness community. We learn so much from this group and everyday we are inspired to keep working hard to reach our goals!

You’ve probably already come across Matt Stone (180degreehealth) and his book Diet Recovery 2 – but if not, I thought I’d throw that out there! It’s taken me a couple years, but I’ve successfully raised my basal temps. 🙂

purelytwins May 24, 2013 - 1:57 pm

someone else mentioned Matt Stone to us, we will look into his stuff more – thanks! and happy that you got your basal temperature up!!

What are the quantities that you use for your juice ingredients? Thank you!!!!

purelytwins June 12, 2013 - 5:53 pm

it depends – lately we have been having about half a large cucumber, couple stalks of kale, handful fresh mint, some fresh ginger, and head of romaine. we shared other good juice recipes during our gut healing journey- under our gut friendly category should be more ideas.

Carolyn June 13, 2013 - 8:04 am

Thank you so much for the prompt response….I will take a look at the recipes. The juicer came in and today is day 1!!!! 🙂 So excited!!! Now, one more….when you do add lemon do you peel first or just put in whole?
