those moments in life

by purelytwins

Good morning friends!!

First we wanted to say that we are thinking of all those in Oklahoma. We have been watching the news and seeing all the pictures is truly mind blowing. And heart breaking. Praying for everyone.

When moments like this happen we start to wonder about everything. Are we living today to the fullest? Are we living life like it might be the last day? Are we holding on for those right moments to happen before we do something we want to do?

But what if those ‘perfect’ moments never come?

Well we are thinking of these questions ever since hearing about what happened in Oklahoma. Still crazy and sad to hear what happened as we are still in awe of what recently happened in Boston .

Seeing those moments in life that touch so many people on so many different levels….is truly heart breaking.

These are the moments when we need to have hope.  And hug your loved ones!

After getting in around midnight from traveling back from Utah we took the morning off from working out and slept instead. Sleep can be just as powerful as exercise. We knew our bodies needed that extra hour of rest.

We both woke up and realized our fridge was pretty empty so decided to make a little trip to Whole Foods for breakfast.

wholefoods for breakfast

Thank you Whole Foods 🙂

We both enjoyed some coffee along with eggs cooked in ghee, local sausage, bacon, and avocado.

Love moments when we are able to eat foods that make us feel happy.

justins nut butter swag stuff

Still taking in all the amazing samples we got at Blend.

Love looking back at the moments we had this past weekend spending time with friends. Realizing those moments will stay with us forever.

justins chocolate pb cups

We do not really eat peanut butter, but these Justin’s chocolate pb cups were amazing. Too good to pass up.

Love moments when you get to enjoy a treat that makes you smile.

avocado and plantains

While at the grocery store we picked up two of our favorite things – avocados and plantains.

Love the moments when you truly get to enjoy the foods that your body loves.

nori avocado plantains

Enjoyed the best lunch later in the day. Plantain chips made in coconut oil served with a nori rolls filled with canned salmon, avocado, shredded carrots and a little nutritional yeast.

Love the moments when you make one of your favorite meals and it makes you feel so satisfied. And warm and cozy.

goat kefir shake

Dinner was something a little different. We both still felt really full from our lunch (and still felt a little off from traveling and being dehydrated) we felt like a simple shake for dinner. (Michelle enjoyed a cup too just unpictured)

Love those moments when we make a good decision.

bath time

Did something last night for the first time in a really long time. We took baths! But not just any bath – epsom salt bath.

Yep we have read about the health benefits of epsom salt baths before and finally made the time to do it! And we are soooo happy we did. We both took about 30 minutes to relax.  And wow – just what our bodies needed!!

Love those moments in life when we you take some extra time to do something for yourself.

We are very grateful for those moments in life that might be small but can make a huge difference.

I love those moments when I see more ways to be caring. As I grow, I am learning to give more freely and help those who need that need that extra hug, smile, or a helping hand. It makes me very happy to see others happy. 🙂

I tried your new move it monday workout this morning and it was great! Got my heart pumping! I love your workouts because I can do them at home. I have never tried plantains but I bought some yesterday and going to cook them up tonight! They look so good! Your post about the blend retreat was awesome and loved seeing all the pictures! That place looks gorgeous, so nice that my husband and I are planning to take a week holidays there in September!! Love the outdoors and so inspired to go there. I wish we had a whole foods up here 🙁 I am always so jealous of the yummy eats you get out of there! Have an amazing day. Both of you are beautiful and radiant!

Reading this post is making me miss my sister so much! She lives in San Diego right now and I’m in Phoenix so I’m envious of your sister breakfast. 🙂 The Whole Foods spread looks amazing too! Hope you girls enjoy your time together! xo

So good that you’re realizing what foods you are intolerant to. I love hearing your thoughts on what causes your breakouts bc I’m trying to figure out the same thing. Thanks so much!!

Hi ladies!
My thoughts are also with Oklahoma. If you did not have a 1-2 mile wide tornado crush your life, you are doing a-ok ya know!;)

I am a HUGE lover of empsom salt baths as wel! I tell my clients weekly too.

I decided to sleep in too, it felt amazing! Sadly, the Justin peanut butter cup didn’t make it back home, it was gone as soon as I saw it!
I love those moments when you’re humbled and realize there is so much more to learn in the world.

A great post! I also just posted on Instagram, yesterday, a card I got for my husband for our anniversary. Not the typical anniversary card, but it talked about enjoying the moments, the process. And I asked my clients (on their private FB page) to complete the following sentence: Today I celebrate…… I was trying to encourage them o celebrate even the little things! We MUST! PS- I’ve also been loving Epsom salt baths at times!!!
