quick leg cardio burner – purelyfitlife workout #9

by purelytwins

Welcome to Move-it-Monday.

We have another #purelyfitlife workout for you guys today. We filmed this workout last week. Lori was not feeling the best (period cramps) so we apologize for the little lack of smiles and umph in the video.

We realized that focusing on our legs is a body part we need to work a little harder. Side note: we did this workout after taking several days off from working out and it sure kicked us in the butt 😉

This leg workout is a mix of strength and cardio. We wanted to create a workout that moved fast, got the heart rate up, but still burned out the legs.

michelle lunge sandbag

You will need some form of weight for this workout. We used our homemade sandbags. You can use free weights, kettle bells, or even water bottles. Something to give your legs some resistance for a nice challenge.

You will also need something to step up onto like a chair or box for this leg workout.

After the backward lunges you will be doing a quick leg cardio interval. Since it is short you have to push yourself to really burn out those legs.

cardio interval timer

Need your Gymboss Interval Timer – set to 6 rounds of 10 second and 10 second intervals. No break in between.

Our legs are not as strong as we would like, something we are hoping to focus on this summer. This is a short workout that you can do at home or even take it to your gym.

Here is the breakdown of the workout.

Here is the video so you can sweat it out with us to burn those legs and get that heart rate pumping.

Remember to use hashtags #purelyfitlife and #purelytwins so we can see you guys in action and sweating it out! Keep working hard. Remember small changes can lead to HUGE results!

Keep smiling and staying focused!  We are here to cheer you on!

Now go on and sweat with us.

Twins question: Do you like working your legs? Do you like doing step ups? We realized we enjoy doing step ups and hope to incorporate them more!

til next time,
