tara-stiles-yogarelax

Yoga was on the agenda for both of us yesterday! We both love our Tara Stiles  yoga dvds, we did the 30 min relaxing flow. Yes it is geared to calming you down after a long day, but we felt it would help us keep us calm and centered for our busy day 🙂

Feeling calm, cool, and relaxed!

yoga

We are both learning to relax more. Moving our body in different ways. Taking time to really breathe.  Trying to be more stress-free and live in the moment…but life sure does have it’s surprises to test your “Om” moments. Just taking each day on it’s own with a new focus.

Lori’s Friday:

greenjuicing

Started my day with morning supplements, marshmallows and GREEN juice!  Working on getting my juices more green.

runny-eggs

Just a little bit later enjoyed eggs with swiss chard, turnips, and coconut oil…and love my runny egg yolks!

lunch-burger-slaw

Lunch (took a digestive enzyme and 2 HCL pill before eating) was buffalo burger, broccoli slaw, shredded brussel sprouts, baby boy choy, nutritional yeast, coconut oil, and 1/4 avocado. Delicious!

A simple meal with lots of flavors and textures, just the way I like it.

fridaysnacks

Snacks I enjoyed was a cup of bone broth and brussel sprouts with coconut oil.

meet-maxwell

I (and Michelle) received a wonderful surprise in the mail from Shannon of Badass FitnessMeet Maxwell

We are excited to try it out!!

salmon-zucchini-dinner

Dinner was salmon on top of greens with zucchini and coconut oil.  (I did take my pre-dinner supplements)

Love salmon! Do you?

Lori’s recap:

I had a great bowel movement in the morning!!!! Drank about 11 cups water (includes broth but not juice). Felt great all day long. I enjoyed a few pulp crackers mid-day.  Still have those two new pimples on chin/under lip area that I got a few days ago. Besides that nothing new to report about skin. Overall still pleased with how it is healing, still have redness and discoloring (scars) to fix but making progress 🙂  I am focusing on seeing the small improvements as I know each day my body is healing.

Michelle’s Recap:

friday eats

Juice and supplements to start my Friday. I tested out juicing a beet again. I skinned it this time. And do not get a headache!

eggs and salad

Breakfast was a wonderful scramble of eggs, turnips, and lots of kale! And healthy fats of egg yolks and and coconut oil.  Lori and I both enjoyed 3 eggs for breakfast and loved it!

Lunch was salmon salad with the last half of cauliflower crust and coconut oil. This lunch kept me very full! I did take a digestive enzyme and 1 HCL before eating this and a cup of bone broth.

dinner

Pre-dinner was some cooked red cabbage with coconut oil, and I took my pre-dinner pills.

My parents had a group of old dear friends over for dinner where we had grilled fish and veggies, and I made raw chocolate cheesecake for everyone to enjoy for dessert! They all loved it and of course provided them with Purely Classic Recipes cookbook to take home! 🙂

It was such a fun evening as seeing my parents laugh and tell stories with their friend reminds me of when I am with my  dear friends! One of the ladies last night mentioned how it was great to see everyone and that it does not feel like 30 years have passed. Like they were all hanging out as usual! LOVE!! When I am with my friends I feel the same way.

Whenever Lori and I get with our friends, which is not as often as we would like but we sure make the most of our time together. And it is true, it is like no time has passed at all. We just pick up where we left off!

Anyone else experience that with old friends?

You both seem to be doing so well – so happy for you girls! Sometimes I feel like my workouts are so stressful and strenuous. I always wonder what it would be like to do lower impact workouts like you are doing. It seems worth the try, so great that you are sharing your journey.

Hope this isn’t too personal, but when u report ur bm’s, is it from the same day as ur food log, or is it from the day before? (for instance the bm I have this morning would reflect yesterday’s digestion, not todays) just wondering bc if u report the bm u have today on today’s log, it won’t reflect how today’s digestion was, it would reflect yesterday’s, if that makes sense. I think I just confused myself haha

Thanks. The eats look great. How do u feel adding another egg? Are u still doing 1tbs Co oil per meal? And marshmallows?

I’ll have to try skinning beets. Good idea

Kyra our post always a whole day recap not the current day we are sharing it, hope that makes sense. We are fine with having 3 eggs a day. Yes most meals get 1 tbsp coconut oil, sometimes we do olive oil. What about the marshmallows? Do we still have them? yep!
