What a great way to start off this Friday with the word poop. Not a word you see very often. We are not afraid to discuss poop as you can tell. As your poop can tell you a lot about your health and what is going on. For moms out there – don’t you analyze your baby’s poop? And for dog lovers – do you analyze your dog’s poop? So if we are looking at our kids’ or pets’ poop, why are we not really looking at our own? We know that might be a little too much this Friday, but hopefully it gets YOU thinking of your health! Start being okay with looking at your poop and learning your body!

Thursday morning Michelle got up early to squeeze a #plankworkout in!
Way to go sis! Planks are perfect for quick, effective workout! Have you tried our new plank workout yet?
I did the Tone it Up Love your Total Body Workout for #loveyourbody challenge. It was try something new Thursday, so I tried their newest full body workout. Curtsy lunge with row is probably a new favorite workout move of mine now. Plus I did a 5 minute plank hold as my warm-up! I woke up yesterday feeling great, even during this time of healing I am still feeling strong. I haven’t noticed any loss in strength from taking so many things out of my diet since I feel I am still getting a well-balanced diet (Michelle said she feels the same way, that her strength is still there). We shall see how our bodies continue to change over these next few days and weeks. With the Tone it Up #loveyourbody challenge they recommend taking daily progress pictures, which Michelle and I are doing. It will be fun to be able to look back and see how far we come.
Michelle Day 7 highlights:
I am still in Orlando for the Disney marathon weekend. Yesterday was the first day of the expo.
Before leaving the house to I took my morning supplements – probiotic, l-glutamine mixed in water and this new fish oil pills for me to take while traveling.
Breakfast was: a full sweet potato (that I mashed), 2 hard boiled eggs again and 1 heaping tbsp oil. I did not have a dark leafy green made up, so I just kept this meal simple. So similar to yesterday.
Enjoyed some coffee and it was show time.
Time for the Disney Expo to start!
My day was really busy so I did not get to really walk around much. But luckily a blog reader, Kristen (Hi, and look forward to seeing you again at Disney Princess race), and the beautiful Heather stopped by to say hi. Thanks girls for stopping by!!
It is always so nice to meet friends while working at these events! And good luck to Heather and her husband as they are doing the Goofy challenge. Good luck girl you will do great! I will be cheering for you!!!
My eats during the day while working at the expo. Nothing too exciting, well maybe besides the turkey bacon. I snacked on bananas, carrots and turkey bacon. I know not much, but during these events I keep things really simple. I need food that is easy to keep at the booth and won’t smell too bad (since I talk up close and personal with people all day).
First day of expo came to an end. We re-stocked the booth and headed back to my sister’s house for dinner! Just like yesterday I was hungry for food.
Before my very late dinner I did remember to take all my pills.
Dinner was 1 grass-fed burger, half avocado, sauerkraut, a good handful or two of parsnips fries and broccoli shallot mash (a good cup or so), all topped with 1 tbsp coconut oil.
And before bed I put magnesium oil on my body.
Michelle: Day seven recap –
Bathroom: some poop success! Not huge but I will take it! I would say in between a 3 and 4 stool, really thin though. I even went a little again at night, which is a rare thing.
Gas: a little gassy throughout the day, stomach did start hurting towards the end of the day (I know it was because my body really needs to go poo)
Skin: a few pimples but they are small
Water intake – about 9 cups almost 10 cups!! I was so proud that I drank my water!! Go me.
Lori: day seven recap –
Took my morning probiotic, 1/2 tsp fermented cod liver oil/butter blend and l-glutamine
First meal of the day was my sweet potato, runny egg mix. I did 2 whole eggs (left one egg yolk raw), sautéed with about 2 cups spinach/arugula mix, and 4oz steamed sweet potato. Topped with cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, and 1 tbsp coconut oil. Very similar to most of my morning meals.
Around lunch time my pulp crackers were done from yesterday. I had an appetite but was not really feeling like anything. So I decided to make a simple smoothie. I did about 1 cup water, 1 banana, 1/2 cup frozen raspberries (organic) and a few romaine leaves and fresh basil. Simple and satisfying. I also snacked one a few pulp crackers!
Took Jax on a walk. I wore my new Mizuno shoes, they are the Wave Rider 15. They were a (very late) wedding present from a friend. Michelle and I have so many shoes we love and Mizuno is one of them.
Jax enjoyed his afternoon walk. Not sure what was under the bush but he was all about it. Love seeing him so happy and sitting in the sun, enjoying the beautiful day (and all the smells in the air).
Later in the afternoon I came back and enjoyed some shrimp (about 3oz) and heaping cup of sliced yellow summer squash, topped with 1 tbsp coconut oil and spices. Yesterday I enjoyed more carbs at my lunch meal and yesterday I wanted to see how I did with more protein instead of carbs. Did not notice much difference. I plan to keep doing little experiments like this to see what my body likes better.
We had our first dog training appointment last night at 7pm, so a pre-training snack as more pulp crackers and a large carrot dipped in coconut oil. (Please excuse the dog toys all over my kitchen floor.)
Jax was excited for his training. We went back to the basics with him. Gary’s and my homework is to work with Jax every day on the come and free commands and sit when told. We are going through a local dog training company here in Charlotte called Off Leash Dog Training. We wanted a dog training company that has worked with Vizslas before and they have. We are excited to train with professionals and work out our issues with Jax .
Getting back from training it was dinner time!
Dinner was: about 4 oz mahi mahi, handful of butter lettuce, red onions, last bit of rutabaga fries, some broccoli carrot slaw, more yellow summer squash, half avocado and sauerkraut. I felt like a mix of different things last night. Topped my plate with some cinnamon and 1 tbsp coconut oil.
I took the night off again of putting magnesium oil on my legs. I did clean my back and put coconut oil on body.
Lori: Day seven recap –
Bathroom: Yes!! I must say it felt amazing to have a nice, easy bowl movement. I felt great afterwards. Since we are talking poop today, I would say it was like a type 4 stool yesterday! I thought about why my bowel movement was so easy and nice. Was it from all the pulp crackers and chia seeds from yesterday (since it is mostly fiber based) or was it just from what I have been doing the past couple of days finally starting to work? Was it from the grass-fed burger? From the high-quality fats? From the extra carbs at lunch? Or did it happen from what I ate a few days ago?
These are some of the questions I ask myself. This is how I analyze my stools. I am still not quite sure why I had such a great bowel movement. I will continue to analyze and see what happens the next few days. I hope to pay more attention on the days I really go poop… what did I eat, how much water did I have, anything else different that I did that day, etc? I will keep you all posted on if I figure anything out 😉
Gas: no complaints
Skin: nothing new or different, pimples I have been dealing with are slowly going away
