Remember this our plan to heal our gut. Consult your doctor before beginning any program. Adjust to your own body and needs. We have done our own research and have come to these steps to help us in our journey to heal our stomach issues. Please do your own research before starting anything new. We are not really sure how long we plan to do this program. And over time we might be changing things depending on how our bodies are doing. We plan to share just about everything as we heal, so we apologize now if some things are TMI. We want to be honest as we are using our blog as our journal.
Wednesday we did the Tone It Up Malibooty workout. Michelle did 2 rounds of this series (which I am so proud of her for getting up early to squeeze this workout in, great job sis!) I did my #bootycall as jump rope intervals. I set my gymboss timer for 10 rounds of 10 seconds and 50 seconds intervals, where I got 10 sec rest and jumped rope for 50 seconds. After that I did the Malibooty workout as well for the #LoveYourBody challenge. As I was working out I realized that the only color of pants I have are black with a few grey. Thinking I need to get some colors for bottoms because dressing cute for our workouts is one way that motivates us more during it. Anyone else?
As I have mentioned I’m in Orlando for the Disney Marathon weekend working with Raw Threads. I had a late night on Tuesday packing the truck and a busy day yesterday from 7-7; it was setup day. In addition, I was packing and shipping out online orders and other things. So over these next few days my workouts will be slim and eats varied.
After my early morning tone it up booty workout, I quickly got ready for the day as I like to give me “some time” in the morning in the bathroom before the crazy day begins. We have a little joke in our family when someone says–> having the moment of opportunity. I sure hate it when I have to miss my moment, but sometimes things do not go according to plan. Over the years my body has adjusted to missing its ‘moment to go’ and I hold it. I know that is a part of my stomach issues to this day. I am trying to break that!
I quickly gobbled down my breakfast so I could have this time…haha feel weird talking about this, but it is true.
Breakfast was: 2 hard boiled eggs that I mashed into my sweet potato jar with some cooked spinach and spoonful of coconut oil and a big cup of black coffee. I did take my probiotic, l-glutamine and fish oil before eating.
My day: worked worked worked
Good thing for bananas and some nice Therafit shoes 😉 to keep me going all day long!
And about 10 hours later we had a beautiful booth! I am soooooo excited for everyone to see the new designs. I am so proud of my older sister and what she has designed!! Remember to connect with raw threads on facebook for special sales and sneak peeks to new designs!
By the end of the day, to be honest – the only thing on my mind was food!! And sleep 🙂
I did remember to take all my pills before dinner – go me! (l-glutamine mixed in water, fish oil, quercetin, licorice, digestive enzyme).
Dinner was nice because it was already made-up! I just had to reheat or defrost and it was done. I enjoyed 2 grass-fed burgers, 1/2 avocado, lots of parsnips fries and cauliflower mash. Sorry my eats (pictures) were not that appealing, but they all tasted amazing! I enjoyed everything! And look forward in repeating much of my eats today.
Took a night off from putting magnesium oil on legs.
Michelle: Day six recap –
Bathroom: very little success (but staying positive as best I can)
Energy: same as yesterday
Gas: nothing, no bloating either
Skin: nothing new to report
Water intake – about 10 cups!! I was so proud I got my water in, because when working at these expos I get to work and hours go by before I realize I have not had one sip of water. So making it the first priority for me this expo!
Lori: Day six recap –
Took my morning probiotic, 1/2 tsp fermented cod liver oil/butter blend and l-glutamine
I snacked on a banana as I made Gary’s food for the day and got my first meal of the day prepped. I ended up eating a whole sweet potato, it was about 4oz. I steam in the microwave. I enjoyed my sweet potato with about half a bag of fresh spinach that I saute with my 2 whole eggs. I topped the meal off with turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom and 1 tbsp coconut oil.
Next meal was about 16oz worth of fresh juice. I made it grapefruit based. I had a few grapefruits on hand and felt like one, so I went with what I was feeling. I adore grapefruit so I enjoyed it as a base for my juice. I also did 1/3 fennel, fresh mint, 4 carrots, 3-4 celery sticks and about 5-6 stalks kale (they were on the small size). I also enjoyed some leftover veggie chia seed pulp crackers, with a little roasted butternut squash and sauteed yellow summer squash; all topped with 1 tbsp coconut oil and cinnamon.
After my juice and veggies it was time for a walk with Jax. I had put on a scarf and Jax was all about chewing it.
Jax did really well on his walk! Plus, it was not that cold outside so I really enjoyed the walk as well.
Getting back from my walk I decided to make up more veggie pulp with chia seeds again. Love the green from all the kale I have been juicing!
Love this guy! His facial expressions kill me 😉
We have our first dog training class tonight. I will keep you all updated on how we do!
I enjoyed more veggie pulp crackers before our nightly walk. Jax was really intrigued by what I was eating! haha
Getting back from our nightly walk I made myself 2 cups of peppermint tea and took my nightly pills.
Dinner was grass-fed burgers with half avocado, steamed broccoli and roasted rutabaga fries (about 2 cups worth of veggies or so) with a little handful of arugula. Topped with mustard, sauerkraut, cumin, dulse flakes and 1 tbsp coconut oil.
Last night I was craving chocolate. However, since chocolate is something we are avoiding – carob to the rescue. My sludge here was 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp water, 2 tbsp carob powder and 1 tsp coconut flour. Hit the spot!
Like Michelle, I took the night off of my putting magnesium oil on my legs. I did clean my back and put coconut oil on body.
Bathroom: very very small bowel movement in the morning
Energy: the same as yesterday, good and steady
Gas: a little but nothing too bad
Skin: still dealing with one large pimple on chin (slowly going away) and my back is slowly starting to look less inflamed, my stomach was a little itchy yesterday
Water intake – 10 cups water (does not include juice)
We would like to mention again that we are using our blog as a journal. We are just documenting what is going on as accurately as possible. Thank you for the continued support!

With 6 days down we are still continuing our plan of action to fix our digestive issues. Like Michelle mentioned, her next few days are going to be a challenge. But when she is done from traveling we will probably re-evaluate our plan to see if we want to change anything.
I also did a video answering and explaining a few things more (why raw egg yolk, thoughts on FODMAPS and bone broth, more about the foods we took out, why coffee, will we ever eat grains or legumes again and more). When you have the time please check out the video as I hope it answers some of your questions. Sorry it is a litte long, I tend to over talk 😉
my sweater in video is from moving comfort.
Let us know if you have any more questions. I know I forgot to answer some, so will try to do a follow-up video here soon.
Stay positive!!! Your mind and body are connected!!!
Our motivation for today!
til next time,
