Christmas started with a quick short walk with Jax in the early morning as we had to hurry over as our niece was getting anxious for everyone to arrive.

We all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas breakfast filled with lots of coffee, fruit, Christmas cookies, quiche, and some of our gluten-free donuts.

Joy was the star of the show. Having a kid in the family sure makes it all worth it. Seeing her smile, play, and laugh just melts our hearts.

We made all types of goodies from sugar cookies (a family recipe that we made gluten-free),  doubled our raw peppermint cream cake, and made a new raw dessert that Michelle enjoyed over Thanksgiving. Recipe for that coming this week!

Dinner was filled with even more yummy eats like: turkey, ham, kale avocado salad, lots of roasted veggies, kabocha squash, sweet potato fries….we could not resist having a second plate. It’s the holidays, always a second plate 🙂 And even though our bellies were extremely full there is always room for dessert. We had a selection of pumpkin pie, pecan pie, raw peppermint cake, and raw pumpkin apple pie cake. We enjoyed a slice of each raw dessert….and then when were officially beyond stuffed along with a few glasses of wine. We sure had happy bellies and happy hearts!

We both work up this morning still feeling full!!

zwow48 workout

After taking Jax on 2 walks and trying to squeeze in ZWOW 48 workout and eating some bananas and apples, we finally started gathering some of our gifts together.  Some of our gifts where: new Rebook shoes, Tara Stiles yoga dvds, tone it up mug, running shorts, DVDS, coffee, kitchen and technology gadgets and much more!

Excited to play with some of our gifts. We are now off to have a family lunch.

I made your raw peppermint cake and it was a huge hit! I have a problem with portion control (well, at least when it comes to desserts!), so I used my mini cheescake pan for bite sized cakes. And I made some of the family’s favorite cookies but all gf! What a blessing to be surrounded with family and good food. Wishing you ladies much joy in the New Year!
