when in doubt plank it out

by purelytwins

We are soooooo happy for every tweet, comment, and picture of you all doing, trying, and loving our plank workouts!

Seriously everyone of you brings a smile, maybe a tear of happiness too!

Keep it up! You all rock and keep us going!! #plankworkout love

Remember no matter if you can only do 2 minutes, you are doing it! We started at 2! So do not give up on yourself. Having a strong core is not only great for your health , but it helps you feel better about yourself!

Love fueling up with Perfect Fit Protein  (our review of perfect fit protein here) after our workouts, whether in a green smoothie or just plain with water. And we  usually always add a scoop of l-glutamine powder just forget to mention it!

Weekly workout from this past week, which we did a little more cardio based workouts this week. We felt like really moving the body as we have been sitting at the computer for hours this week. So fitting in quick cardio workouts were a perfect fit into our schedule this week.

Mon – our 12 minute plankworkout

Tues – 5 minute plank workout and ZWOW #44 along with pull-ups (video of us) on equalizer 3 sets of 10 reps

Wed – 12 minute plank with 8 minute cardio no rest interval using our Gymboss Interval Timer  to set the 30/30 second intervals. No breaks have to push hard for just 8 minutes.

Thur –  active rest day 15-20 minute walk outside

Fri – 12 minute cardio interval workout

Sat and Sun – Tara Stiles yoga

Yoga is a perfect way to end up a long week for us!

And our eats that we have been enjoying that we highlighted yesterday

The first picture was cooked squash with coconut oil, hemp seeds, and cacao nibs!! Best combo!!

The second plate was our veggie egg meal and we each had a little treat with out second round of coffee.  Enjoying lots of cookies!

And Thursday we finished our 1 st cookbook draft, so we celebrated with wine and sushi! A lot of it 🙂 Perfect!

Love how our niece is already interested in weights 😉 even though it lasts only a minute.

Twins Question: What have you been doing this week to move your body? And new workouts you have tried?

Our girl Liz shared a new workout that we look forward in trying out some time soon.

I’ve followed, and love all of your plank workouts. The 12 minute workout was a great addition to my routine! I also really enjoyed the ZWOW 44. Thanks for all the great workout and inspiration!

Soooo, last week I made your Cocoa Meets Gingerbread,(using spelt & millet for my flours), it’s SO FANTASTIC & flavourful! The sprinkling of dark chocolate chips took it to over-the-top deliciousness, and I felt it got even better with age. I froze a few slices…I just love having a stash of healthy treats in my freezer!

And I’m ready to get in on the planking action. I completed your 5 minute plank workout as my 1st one today- my arms & abs were a burnin! I can’t wait to try the other workouts and incorporate this into workout routine, I can almost the feel the 6-pack coming:).

Thanks so much for all the work you put into your awesome blog<3.

I’m absolutely in love with your quick and super effective workouts and cannot wait to try out this short cardio workout (and the plank workout, it looks brilliantly killer). These posts are completely inspiring 🙂

This weekend to move my body I’m taking some long walks and doing some yoga videos. And dancing around like a maniac to Christmas music — in my room with the windows closed, of course!

First of all, I love the phrase, “When in doubt plank it out.” That’s awesome 😀

Second, thank you for the shout-out! I still think your videos are better but Haley’s video is good too 😉

This week I’ve been doing reformer pilates, mat pilates, HIIT moves, and strength-training; oh and lots of planks of course.
