tahini spoonfuls

by purelytwins

Hello luvs,

I have been in Orlando these past few days helping my sister with her company Raw Threads. The Disney Tower of Terror 10 Miler Expo was this past weekend. It was a new race for Disney and it was a lot of fun!  A little hot but enjoyable.

These past few days have been  hot  long days. But it was worth it as the event was a success!!

I always enjoy working at the Disney races with my sister as they are exciting and fun, as the people that come through the expo are lively and so nice!! Everyone is there to have a good time, which makes it more pleasant for us too even though we are working all day long.

Thursday was setup day. We had a big booth so pretty much takes all day to do.

Good thing I had some mini sweet potato cakes to snack on throughout the day. So good!

Raw Threads booth coming along nicely.

When I am traveling and working these events my eats tend to be all over the place. But now with my sister living in Orlando I have access to a kitchen and fridge!

I enjoyed roasted buttercup squash with cinnamon and coconut oil.

My dinners have been shredded brocolli carrot slaw mixed with some tahini ( have been on a huge tahini kick again lately, ask Lori), coconut oil, dulse flakes, squash, pulp bread and some nights I had canned salmon.  And some cocktails too.

And dessert was of course raw vegan no sugar protein thin mints!

Thursday I did do my 8 minute plank workout before working at the expo, but Friday morning I slept in a little  so didn’t have a lot of time. So I did a little stretching to start my day. Breakfast was some fruit,  followed by 2 hard boiled eggs and coffee.  Love my sister’s Disney little spoons!

I took a few spoonfuls of tahini before we headed out the door to the expo. —> see told you tahini kick

My outfit for day 1 – pirate shirt with black running skirt and my pink and black kswiss shoes.

Pumpkin socca was my snack although looking forward to making Lori’s lentil socca. We love making socca using lentils,  as they are great travel snacks!

It was a great first day at the Disney 10 Miler expo! And thanks to some of Lori and I’s blog readers for stopping by and getting a shirt! Always great to meet you guys!!

Saturday I woke up a little sore, legs were tight from standing all day. So I decided to wear my CEP compression socks for day 2!

hello there sexy legs 😉

And they worked like a charm! I even wore them all night to the after party.

Breakfast the next day was chia pudding with vega and coconut oil!

And stocked up on my snacks as we had to break down the booth after the event was over.

My snacks got me though the long day!

Expo over then it was time to rest up a little before the real fun begins.

The RunDisney crew sure know how to put on  a great event! This was a night time race that also included an after party! oh yay

The park reopened at 10pm for family and friends to have some fun while the runners were running. The finish line was at the Tower of Terror! They had a few rides open so we took advantage and rode what we could as many times as we could before more people showed up. —>smart thinking

I enjoyed a few glasses of wine  —>more smart thinking 😉

Got to ride Disney’s Toy Story ride –>so much fun! we did it twice.

And congrats to my older sis, Jen and her friend Erin for completing the 10 mile race while the rest of us partied.

Jen is wearing Red Queen and Erin wearing Pink Cat. Don’t they look cute?

It was a fun few days, spent all day Sunday relaxing and resting.

What is your favorite villain? Do you dress up when you run?

I have friends that did that race! They had a blast! Love that skull shirt! So super cute! I need to shop Raw Threads!!! I’m the girl that likes the good guys. I can’t decide which bag guy I would dress up like. That’s a hard one!

You got me thinking about Tahini. For lunch today I have a spiralized zucchini with Tahini sauce (Tahini, Sambal (yeah, I like some heat), some raw honey and thinned it with a little water). Can’t wait to dig in!

Love the shirts. Looks like an awesome company. Just got done browsing the Raw Threads website and I have to say…my favorite is the grey captain tank! Looks like the event was busy and fun. I live in the Orlando area and wish I could have been there to say hi!

I saw SO many people on the course wearing the raw threads gear! Those shirts were definitely a hit at that race. I went through the booth at the expo but forgot it was you all, would have loved to meet you! Next time!
