So happy to see everyone enjoying our lentil flatbread appetizer! It makes us eager to create more yummy eats for this holiday season.
Last night Gary and I decided to grill before the rain came. We usually like to grill on the weekends when we have a little more time to sit outside and enjoy ourselves.
Salmon with wilted arugula avocado salad (about 1/2 avocado), handfuls of celery, cucumber, mushrooms, onions and peppers; and a glass of wine. I forgot to put coconut oil on my dinner, that is something that I like to do. Guess I was too hungry and forgot.
One thing that Gary and I were able to do last night was enjoy a movie! This is a big deal. Now for some of you watching a movie may not be that big of deal, but we never really get to watch movies anymore. Jax makes it very difficult to watch a movie with, but last night Jax was tired from his day that he went to bed early. We watched the Hunger Games. Loved it. I have never read the books so I have nothing to compare it to besides the fact if it was overall a good movie to keep my attention. Because I can sometimes get distracted during movies if they do not hold my attention. This movie held my attention!
After having a great relaxing night with wine and a movie this morning I slept in a little. Drank some water as I took Jax out. Slowly waking up to figure out my game plan for the day.
Grabbed an granny smith apple as I got the rest of my breakfast ready.
I was not really sure what I was feeling like this morning for breakfast. I know I had a little chia pudding mix leftover so decided I would eat that mixed with some Vega Performance Protein powder.
Lately I have been loving Perfect Fit protein mixed in with some yogurt and chia seeds ,but felt like Vega this morning. So good even though it does not look that good. Oh ya and topped it off with 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Nothing like protein and healthy fats to start my day!
Enjoyed some Starbucks Via coffee this morning. I usually enjoy these Starbucks Via packets while traveling as they make great traveling companions. Anyone else?
Today I am doing a mix of house work along with recipe development.
Making a new coconut flour based cookie recipe.
Made some last night which Gary and I just about polished off. Need to make the cookies one more time, you know to make sure they are perfect before sharing 😉

last Saturday: off day for Lori/ Michelle did 8 minute plank workout
last Sunday: off day for Michelle/ Lori did 8 minute plank workout
Monday: Michelle and I felt like really moving the body to start our week so doing one of Zuzana Light’s workout came to mind.
warm-up was 8 minute plank workout followed by ZWOW #32 ( which was 3 rounds of 5 different exercises for time) followed by 8 minute run (which Michelle did, Lori did not instead walked Jax a few times).

Tuesday: we both wanted to really work the legs as we feel we do not focus on them enough. Did our 8 minute plank for warm-up, did our beach leg workout and added in jump squats in between each exercise for more challenge. Great leg workout. Our legs were feeling it the next day.
Wednesday: we saw the Tone it Up girls post a mali-booty workout, that we decided to do as who doesn’t like working their butt. Doesn’t everyone want a firm backside? We do. Plus check out their #LivePink campaign to help increase awareness for Breast Cancer in the month of October! We love this idea, as we lost our grandmother 12 years ago to breast cancer, a very important topic for us.
Thursday: did again our 8 minute plank for warm-up, then just did some push-ups about 30 reps, with some arm exercises and stretching. Somewhat of an easy day for us as we had other things doing on but wanted to move the body some.
Friday: yoga and stretching about 20 minutes. Both of us were feeling a little tight so yoga to the rescue. At the end of our mini stretch session we texted each other saying how we really miss yoga. Hot yoga was one of our favorites but due to money we had to stop. For now, we have to stick with yoga at home.
Oh and this came in the mail.
Guess I better start studying.
