Even though Lori and I are not physically working out together, we still chat about working out. We get so excited when we talk about workouts, and sometimes it takes us some time to decide on what workout to do.
But as we have mentioned awhile back, for the summer we have been keeping our workouts a little less intense to help with our hormone imbalance and clear up acne. Both of us are doing good, no major improvements in our hormones yet, but we have been feeling good!
One thing by reducing our HIIT style workouts, it has helped us get back it to weight lifting. Now we still love plain old body weight type exercises, but have been lifting about 3 times a week. Normally we work the full body at once, which I know to some fitness experts that is not always the best. But it works for us and our schedules.
Friday we did planks, bridge, pullups, and pushup workout. Followed by a great full body weigh workout. We did 10 different exercises, 20 reps each, twice through. We lift anywhere between 5-12 lbs. Really focusing on slow movement and good form. And trust us, you can still get your heart rate up by just lifting weights!!
