Happy Sunday!

Glad to hear everyone enjoying Lori’s avocado ice cream and our sweet potato yogurt pancakes! Let us know if you make them!

Even though Lori and I are not physically working out together, we still chat about working out. We get so excited when we talk about workouts, and sometimes it takes us some time to decide on what workout to do.

But as we have mentioned awhile back, for the summer we have been keeping our workouts a little less intense to help with our hormone imbalance and clear up acne.  Both of us are doing good, no major improvements in our hormones yet, but we have been feeling good!

One thing by reducing our HIIT style workouts, it has helped us get back it to weight lifting. Now we still love plain old body weight type exercises, but have been lifting about 3 times a week. Normally we work the full body at once, which I know to some fitness experts that is not always the best. But it works for us and our schedules.

Thursday we did our #plankworkout and bridge pose followed by a 12 minute cardio interval. Still kept it low in the intensity, but did get our heart rate up.

Friday we did planks, bridge, pullups, and pushup workout. Followed by a great full body weigh workout. We did 10 different exercises, 20 reps each, twice through. We lift anywhere between 5-12 lbs. Really focusing on slow movement and good form. And trust us, you can still get your heart rate up by just lifting weights!!

It’s awesome that you have each other for motivation and encouragement, even when you’re not physically together! Also, you have no idea how many times I’ve been looking for workout motivation, and I’ve gone to your blog! You ladies are seriously such an inspiration!

I have a plank question for you – did you ever have a point where your body stepped you back? I was at 3:30 and now can not hold more than 2…. I never stopped doing it I just sort of lost the strength

Joy, well there are days when it was a lot tougher to get through. just hold it for the 2 and eventually your body will let you go further again. Are you doing other exercises?
