Avocado Soft Serve Ice Cream (gluten-free, vegan, mostly raw, sugar-free, paleo).  No sugar. No ice cream maker. The easiest ice cream you’ll ever make. We have mint flavoring option if you love mint ice cream.

This avocado based ice cream is more like a soft serve ice cream, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

This avocado ice cream was not too sweet as we add in no sugar and had a great creamy texture.

All you need is a few simple ingredients.

We love mint so we added in that for flavor. Plus it helps with having no sugar in the recipe.

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes


  • 2 avocados (about 1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tsp spirulina (optional for more green color)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/33/4 teaspoon stevia – to taste
  • *additional flavors
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract – to taste


  1. Place all ingredients into blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Adjust the sweetness.
  4. If adding in mint add more if desired.


  • Serving Size: serves 2 - 3

Yes! I did watch the Royal Wedding this morning-it was wonderful 🙂 She was absolutely stunning.

And I am making this! I LOVE peppermint ice cream. Seriously it was my favorite flavor when I ate dairy and sugar….Now I can eat it again-YAY!

I did not watch the wedding, but I have plently of people raving about it to know all about it haha. I have been getting a lot of headaches as well, I have been eating a lot of beans. Can that cause headaches? Aww your parents are coming!! Do they eat raw? If not, do they support your way of eating/living? I found that my family accepts that I like to eat healthier, but they do nag about how there’s a such thing as being “too healthy”.

Jessica – sorry to hear about the headaches, not sure if beans can cause them, but honestly anything is possible. Everyone reacts to food differently. As for our parents they only eat raw when we make them food, although our mom does drink green smoothies and loves our raw biscotti! They both love raw desserts 🙂

ice cream looks amazing. I do not get headaches but I developed an allergy to avocados :(. I get giant breakouts around my mouth every time I eat one. So… alas, I stopped. 🙁

Of course I watched the royal wedding. I was working out in front of the tv during the actual ceremony. It brought back memories of watching Princess Di walk down the isle when I was little.

I don’t know what to tell you about the avocados. Maybe your bodies are becoming more sensitive and more aware of how foods effect you. I’m finding that stevia gives me headaches, so I limit it now. It could also be a detox symptom.

That ice cream looks yummy, although I’d use something else in place of the stevia.
