Big news … we joined Beautycounter!

Come and join us for our very first unboxing and a quick review of the products we bought.

In the video we also share why we joined Beautycounter as a consultant.

If you are new to our story we both suffered from major hormonal acne for years and Michelle also had eczema, so we are always mindful of what we put on our skin. And we are so grateful that Beautycounter kept popping into our lives. Our skin and hair love it, as well as our minds (Beautycounter is careful with the ingredients they use which makes it easier on us not having to worry what we are putting on our skin.) So we don’t mess around when it comes to our skin.

For many years we had bad skin due to our past of overexercising, body weight changing all the time, being too thin, dieting, restricting and mentally not thinking we were beautiful, and gut and hormonal issues.

Over the years, we’ve learned a lot and so happy to be on the other side and love finding more beauty products we can get behind.

We love keeping things super simple and easy over here. Less stress the better. So, Beautycounter is a natural fit in our lives as it meets that criteria.

Unboxing Beautycounter for the first time.

Please share this video with your friends that are struggling with their skin and health.

We hope the video has served you.

We are so excited to be part of the Beautycounter movement to get safer skin care products into people’s lives.

We do want to mention we are not 100% perfect with our natural holistic lifestyle. This applies to everything from our diet to products we use in our house as well as on our skin. We, of course, aim to do our best but we don’t always buy organic, local, etc, but we do our best that fits into our lives that makes it easier. Therefore we want to mention we do use other products besides Beautycounter in our skincare routine.

We’ve used a few of their products (the ones shown in the video) to make sure we really can stand behind the brand (and how it works for our skin) before sharing with you and friends.

Verdict: Our skin has been loving the products which also makes us so happy.

NEW video! Unboxing our first beautycounter box and review of the products we bought. Plus why we joined beautycounter. We love being part of a beauty movement to get safer skincare products to families.

For those who are interested to give it a try, you can check out our FAVORITES HERE or take a look at the site using our link (we really appreciate the support)

Of course, we are here if you have any questions or would like to try samples.

AND in honor of us joining we are gifting our top favorite item – volumizing masacara (a $36 value) to very gorgeous PT sister who purchases $100 or more of product. *When you place your order email us so we can get you your special gift.

Since we both suffered from hormonal acne and have sensitive skin (and Michelle getting eczema) it is important for us to find good quality and safe products for our skin. And to make it even better we love how the company is run by strong, passionate women trying to make a difference in the skincare market.

Another reason why we chose Beautycounter is their commitment to transparency.

Just like with our other disclosures about affiliates the same goes here for Beautycounter. When you buy from our link we receive a percentage. It doesn’t affect you. We only link and support products we personally use and try.

Products we bought:

  • Eye shadow duo peach/bronze
  • Rosewater mist
  • Volumizing mascara
  • Repair and nourish shampoo and conditioner
  • Kids nice do shampoo
  • Kids super dooper body wash
  • no 3 balancing face mask

We love the family focus Beautycounter has and their mission, plus we love the idea of getting high-quality products we love into the hands of people we care about. Win-win!

We are excited to try more products. We love being part of something like this that is truly making difference to get safer ingredients in skin and body products (they ban the use of over 1,500 questionable or harmful ingredients that are frequently used in personal care products). Yes they are pricey, but so worth it…and your skin health’s worth it.

Thank you so much for your support of this new venture! We’ve added a Beautycounter page here for more about the products we use and more information about the company.

Remember we are gifting our top favorite item – volumizing masacara (a $36 value) to very gorgeous PT sister who purchases $100 or more of product. *When you place your order email us so we can get you your special gift.

  1. Hi Lori and Michelle! I just wanted to let you two know that when I started using beauty counter products on my face I developed eczema all around my nose and mouth. I was pregnant at the time so I thought it was from that. I started using beauty counter in my first trimester. But even months after I had my baby the eczema was seeming to get worse. I even switched to a few different beauty counter products but still the eczema remained. Finally I read something about how alcohol in products can cause eczema and I put it all together. I stopped using beauty counter products and the eczema on my face cleared up within a week. It had been there for a whole year so it seemed clear that it was a direct correlation. Now I use a moisturizer by makes 3 organics and my skin is what I have always hoped it could be. I have been reading your blog for probably six years and I have had a lot of the same struggles you both have with skin and digestion. I felt a bit panicky when I saw you were using beauty counter and felt I should let you know. I’m not trying to create negativity for their company. Perhaps if you just avoid using the products with alcohol. Sending you both blessings and eczema freedom!

    1. THANK you so much for sharing. I will be careful about those products. I am not sure I would use the moisturizer anyways as I love my other face oils for that. If I notice anything I will do an update but for now I am all good.
