Today we are thrilled to share today’s soul sister chat with you. It is the goddess herself, Mel Wells!! We’ve been following Mel for a long time and love her so much we knew we had to get her on our soul sister chat. She is full of knowledge and grace.

There is so much we loved from this interview that we could chat more about. We love how she said your mental and emotional health is so much more important than the scale number. Loved her questions she asks herself especially, would someone that loves her self-do this?

Powerful right?

We have so much in common with Mel, well besides we were never actresses. But we did extremes, we were obsessive with the number on the scale, let our eating disorder and poor body image consume us, even at our lowest weight we were still not happy or loving our bodies.

Like Mel, once we finally said enough with the restrictions and started focusing on our health our issues with body image didn’t go away, but our binge eating was now on “health foods.”

After a lot of self-discovery and acceptance, we too made a lot of mindset shifts around food and our bodies as this is when things became better for us. When we realized we are all MORE than what we look like. 

We are all beautiful souls…goddesses. We can have green juice and champagne without feeling guilt. We don’t have to be a size 0 to be lovable.  And happiness is something we all have to find for ourselves. Hint it is not a number on the scale, how many likes you have on IG picture, how much money you make, etc.

Loved how she makes it a daily thing to celebrate herself and affirm she is doing enough, something we have been doing as well.
