On periscope (you can find us – @purelytwins) we did a live taste off of two plant based pea protein powders we like.

The Tone It Up girls updated Perfect fit protein powder. It is now made from pea protein and pumpkin seeds. We were so excited about these changes because for the past few months we have been loving the pea protein from Garden of life.

Pea protein taste off. Garden of life or Perfect fit which plant based protein is best. | purelytwins.com

Hope you enjoy the live review. There are two parts to the tasting as we lost connection in the first one.

We did not get paid for this review. We bought these protein powders with our own money and wanted to share our personal thoughts on them.

Plant based pea protein powder taste off – Perfect fit vs Garden of life

Where to buy?

We buy Perfect Fit right from the website.  *Update we’ve bought the chocolate and love it too.

We buy Garden of life off Thrive Market to save some money.

Cost per serving for each protein powder:

Perfect fit is $49 for 25 servings = 1.96 per serving.

Garden of life is $20.97 for 10 servings = $2.09 *Note this is based off the Thrive Market’s pricing

So pretty close in cost. We enjoyed both pea protein powders. We plan to enjoy them daily in our lives as we are fans of protein powders. We know they aren’t for everyone and that is okay. Always do what is best for you.

What are your thoughts on pea protein powders?

We know there are other brands out there so please share what you like below in the comments. What do you look for in a protein powder?

We really like both these companies and like to support them!

Make sure you keep up with us on periscope – Download the app and search purelytwins and follow us! We scope daily! We plan on doing a taste off with gelatin as that is another product we use daily.

xoxo

  1. I LOVE the taste, but sadly they don’t digest well for me:(

    1. Oh sorry girl, we are lucky we do well with it. Better than rice protein.

  2. Wow, So at $2/serving and daily consumption, $60 per person per month on protein powder seems like a lot! What percentage of your monthly grocery budget is that? Or do you put it in a different category (supplements, maybe)?

    1. We don’t really look at it that way. We focus on foods that make us feel our best and sometimes it’s pricey, but to us it’s worth it. As we said it’s not for everyone you have to do what feels right to you.

  3. I was curious if you had tried Vega protein smoothie powders or sun warrior? Since I see the craze with the pea protein everywhere but I still like to get my brown rice protein since the pea protein is not a complete protein as the brown rice actually is. Which may not be important to some people, but I think it should be when supplementing!

    1. Yes we used to eat Vega and loved it, great product. And yes SunWarrior is another great option!

  4. You’d love the chocolate Perfect Fit. I have it now. So tasty! If you were to post any recipes that included it, I wouldn’t complain. 🙂
