We felt like this recipe needed a dash of extra sweetness so we added in a few drops of liquid stevia to keep this recipe low in sugar.
This is personal preference. You might like a more bitter chocolate donut but we felt the touch of sweetness really helped bring all the flavors together.
The donut pan we used was Norpro donut pan. We have had it for years and love it.

Ohmygosh yes!! chocolate and peanut butter are seriously a match made in heaven 🙂 I think I have some kind of nut sensitivity, but I haven’t been able to figure out if peanuts or almonds are better for me yet. So frustrating! Love these other chocolate and peanut butter ideas too, especially the plantain bread sandwich. Can’t get enough of your plantain bread! 🙂 – D
