Continuing with our life lately

We had a wonderful Christmas despite not being at home because we got to spend Christmas at DISNEY!!!

This was a first for our family. Actually this trip had many firsts.

Christmas at Walt Disney World in Florida

madisonwithheraunts

Madison loved meeting and playing with her other aunts!

my first christmas

Madison was excited for her first Christmas eve and Christmas!!

breakfast-at-hotel

The hotel we stayed at was dog friendly so Jax joined us πŸ™‚

breakfast at celebration hotel florida

Everyone enjoyed breakfast here every morning.

peppermint cinnamon buns candy canes

Especially when cinnamon buns are involved.

We made a batch of our candy cane rolls and cookie dough rolls.

Then it was time for Madison to meet Mickey.

Then…

After a quick nap it was time to go exploring.

christmas at disney

Christmas at Disney was CRAZY!! People everywhere πŸ˜‰

Good thing we were just passing through.

Madison was the lucky one as she was carried in her Solly baby wrap while we walked around some of the Disney hotels.

first boat ride

Madison ready for her first boat ride and sporting her new hat from her grandpa!

first monorail ride

Madison was very excited for her first monorail ride πŸ˜‰

We all enjoyed the Grand Floridan hotel the most with the big Christmas tree, music playing, and HUGE gingerbread house, which was all edible. The hotel smelled amazing.

on monorail

Madison loved the monorail rides and people watching.

After looking at all the Christmas decorations and monorail rides we were all hungry.

dinner plate

Lori and I each enjoyed a big plate like this. Turkey, squash, spinach and broccoli casserole.

We decided to go ahead and enjoy Christmas dinner on Christmas eve.

Another first for this family!

What does your family eat on Christmas eve??

raw desserts frozen disney

After we ate a delicious meal it was time for our favorite part –> dessert time!!!

We both stuffed our faces with 2 slices of pumpkin chocolate bars and 1 slice of peppermint snow cake.

christmasgifts

Then it was Christmas morning.

We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel followed by opening gifts then it was play time!

No trip to Disney on Christmas as we heard on the news it was packed of people, so we decided it was best to avoid the crowds.

After play time it was time to eat again.

christmas dinner

Fancy huh ? haha

We made all the food back at our parents before we traveled to Disney. This way when we got to our sister’s we could just heat, plate and eat. It worked perfectly!!

chrismasdinner

We love food.

raw-peppermint-dessert

Although we enjoy dessert more!

We had 2 big slices of peppermint snow cake.

The next day we ventured back out and enjoyed lunch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Madison slept the whole time, so she missed seeing all the animals.

Better luck next time.

  2. Looks like you had a wonderful time!!! We travel between the homes of various parents leading up to the holidays and even on Christmas Day itself — but we’ve never done anything like this on a holiday — but would love to. Looks like it was a great way to spend time with the family. Loved your ideas to bake the food before hand and bring with you — and also that you were able to find a dog-friendly hotel!! Happy New Year!
