While the boys were at a football game it was just us girls yesterday.
Here is what our day looked like yesterday…
Lazy moving morning. Well, that is how most of our mornings have been and we love it.
While I nurse Madison I look over to see Jax relaxing on the sofa while my mom and Michelle do work at the table.
Then time for coffee. Lots of coffee.
After Madison got her breakfast it was time for the rest of us to eat. Auntie Michelle was the chef and made bacon and eggs for breakfast. And yes we ate our eggs with spoons. Have to get all that delicious yolk.
Next it was play time with big brother Jax. Jax loves play time.
Madison is doing amazing job at holding her head up and looking around. I might be bias since she is my daughter, but I am one proud mama.
Then it was time to head over to Auntie Carrie’s house to play with cousin Joy.
After play time it was time to make a mess in the kitchen! What we do best in the this house.
First we made pumpkin chocolate treats.
Of course we sampled some.
Then we made coconut butter.
We each enjoyed just a few spoonfuls 😉 We are so addicted.
After making some sweet treats it was lunch time!
Michelle and I enjoyed some ground turkey, baked kabocha squash, cooked kale, coconut oil, sea salt and a side of carrots and celery with some nut butter. And of course we topped our plate with nutritional yeast after we took the picture.
After lunch we went for a walk around the neighborhood to get some fresh air and to help Madison fall back asleep (as she woke up early from her nap).
It was a beautiful day outside! Madison is enjoying the warm sunny Florida weather. The walk did not put her back to sleep. So back inside we went.

Madison started to get a little fussy so her auntie carried her! And life is all good.
Since Madison didn’t want to sleep we decided to get back in the kitchen. We experimented with making a new sugar cookie recipe with a few tweaks…they turned out okay. Not quite what we were looking for.
Then it was time to go party hang out with our best friends.
Madison was excited to meet her bestie!!!
Violet and Madison!!! Baby love. Our best friend Alyson had her baby girl 3 weeks after Madison was born.
They are already besties!!!
I can’t wait for these two to grow up together. It was so much fun getting together with our friends and chatting about babies and being moms. Crazy how much life has changed for all of us.
Once we arrived home it was time to nurse Madison and put her to bed. Her naps haven’t been the best (she isn’t a good napper), but we have been keeping the same bedtime routine and time. It has worked out wonderfully. She doesn’t give us any major problems at bedtime and is sleeping 6-7 hour stretches. Once Madison is sleeping it’s time for dinner.
Michelle and I both were wanting turkey for some reason. Luckily Michelle picked up some Applegate sliced turkey at the store. I had a plate of sliced turkey with grilled zucchini, roasted beets and plantain.
Michelle’s dinner plate was sliced turkey, steamed broccoli, roasted beets and kabocha squash.
We both enjoyed some wine too.
And of course we had to have some dessert.
We ended our day with more recipe making (it’s hard to get us out of the kitchen). We made our raw peppermint cheesecake with sprinkles. We didn’t have pink sprinkles this time but we happily enjoyed some chocolate sprinkles on top. We shared a slice. #sogood
We also enjoyed our favorite pumpkin cookies. We forgot to snap a picture. We split the whole batch. Yes, we are addicted to these cookies. We make them all the time.
We sat on the couch with our family and watched some tv before heading to bed ourselves. We had work to do but both of us were tired. We told ourselves we would get up early to finish our work. And Madison was up at 6:30am so it worked out perfectly.
That was pretty much our day yesterday. Nothing too wild or crazy, just a lovely Sunday.
