Popping in today to share a quick house DIY project as I am in the mood for house remodeling.
I actually did this little do it yourself project a few months ago but just now getting around to sharing it. I apologize. But I still wanted to share it with you in case you were thinking of doing some house updates. Maybe this will spark an idea for you to try. Plus I have house remodeling on the mind since we are going through some major changes at the present moment. Again, I will share those updates here soon.
What was the house project??
Repainting kitchen table and putting on new seat cushions for kitchen table chairs.
This simple project allowed me to have a new kitchen table and chairs by updating my used furniture. A great way to reuse and recycle 😉
Like I mentioned last time, it was my next house project and it finally got DONE. Thanks to the help of Gary and Michelle! It’s nice having help.
Here’s how we did it:
Before table and the after table.
Table before being painted.
Painted table with a base primer coating that was good for oil based objects.
We painted the chairs too. Those were time consuming to paint.
Here’s what the final painted table and chairs turned out to be like.
A fun do it yourself house project for those on a low budget!
Next up was updating the seat cushions to give the chairs a new look.
New fabric for cushions that I just ordered online. I think off Esty or some fabric place. I wanted a fabric with a little bit of color and pattern to it to jazz up the look and feel to the chairs. I was really happy with the how the fabric turned out. And I ordered too much of it, so I have plenty to redo the chairs once they get worn.
We keep it simple around here. No Martha Stewart house update but I am very happy.
I am pleased with the final results. The project was easy to do and kinda fun. And with a small budget this was perfect! Anyone else do this before?
It feels good to reuse old furniture to make it fee like new again 🙂
Thanks for letting me share this with you.
