what we now do for our daily skin care routine with video

Hello beauties!!

So happy to see so many of you liking what we use for our hair care. There are so many products out there it can be hard to find ones that our natural and work. And same thing goes for the face.

As you all know we struggle with acne. Lori more recently but we both suffered from severe acne. Luckily, we both are doing fantastic with our skin!! Sure we still have a few minor issues to work with like scars, uneven skin tone and a few wrinkles.  Hey it’s apart of life. We get older. Our body changes. Our skin changes.

A few things have changed over the past several months in terms of our skin care.

Guess the last time we shared our face routine was back in May 2013.  And since then Lori has shared a few different post with her acne journey updates.

In today’s vlog we take you into our bathrooms to discuss our current daily natural skin care routine to keep our acne away.

We love using oils on our skin.It may not be the thing for everyone, but our skin seems to like it.

Using oils on our faces helps with our overall skin complex, helps with oil control, and naturally hydrates our skin plus helps with inflammation for our acne.

For our night time routine: we use Dr. Bronners (we prefer the rose one),  Herbivore botanicals nourish facial serum (Lori uses this one at night), Mountain rose herbs tamanu oil, and Nerium.

Our morning routine is just splashing some water on face and then putting some eminence rosehip whip moisturizer on our face. And Lori adds a few sprays of niacin complex spray.

Two new products that we mentioned in the video that we have noticed great benefits from using is our Nerium lotion and DoTerra essential oils. We will do a follow up post more about these products. Click here to see what we use to wash our faces to get clear skin.

Remember we all have different skin with different needs so we will discover that different products may work or not work. We’ve tried thousands of different products over the years to help our acne.  Now we are finally comfortable with our skin care routine and love the products we use. We hope you find some inspiration to find something new.

And big thing with SKIN is that your diet plays a HUGE part (and stress)!  So clean up your diet and clean up what you use for your skin care and you should start seeing results :) And remember to keep things SIMPLE! Your skin likes simplicity! Let us know if you have any questions.

Overall we felt great with all our workouts. Feeling strong. We are still practicing our headstands and splits on most days, with a few TRX exercises for the back a few times a week. And doing a few pull-ups each day (which are still very challenging for us).

If you any questions for us about skin care? Or about products we use please let us know. We are here to help. Again wherever you are in your skin or acne journey, just keep things simple and keep trying products until you find one that your skin likes.

xoxo

  1. I have been working on pull-ups too. I love having a goal, and this is not an easy one! I can do a couple unassisted pull-ups, but that’s about it. I am hoping to reach 10 at some point. I am slowly getting there and am enjoying seeing my progress.
    Happy Saturday!

Interesting! You’re skin looks amazing (both of you) and I also travel with dr bronners as my only soap. I’ll have to look into herbivore

I cannot wait for your review on the Nerium lotion. I had never heard of it before so I went to their website after reading this post. It sounds awesome, but sometimes I can be a sucker for sales pitches. I wonder about the ingredients too. I know they probably want to keep it proprietary, but I’m hesitant to use synthetic chemicals on my skin. I trust both you girls and I know you both like to stick with natural products too; hence, the reason why I am looking forward to your review :-)

The rest of your skin care routine sounds awesome…like a beauty treatment :-)

  5. I would wish to say thanks to you for putting out this blog with everyone. I have a younger sister and she is suffering with the problem of acne. She tries a lot to get rid off from this problem, but still she can’t. I got your blog through searching about acne and yeah, I got good information here and exercise is really the best thing and I’ll recommend her your blog, but these products are not available in my country could you tell me other brands……..
