It’s Lori. As you all know Michelle is busy working with raw threads down at Disney. Miss ya sis!! I stayed here to keep purely fit life club running and the blog 🙂 I’ve been working hard here keeping everything working and growing.
And today I am so excited to be a part of Whole Foods Charlotte Health Starts here panel this afternoon. So if you are in the Charlotte area please stop by!! I will be there with these amazing women Diana, Brittany and Lauren. And I believe Vani (foodbabe!) might be there too. Super excited and honored to be asked to join!
So for today’s coffee talk I wanted to share a few things.
If we were having coffee…
I would tell you that I am already dreaming of warmer, sunny weather. I do love the cold where I can wear jackets, boots and scarves, but I am a Florida girl at heart. And I love the sun!!
I would tell you that this dog cracks me up.
classic vizsla moment (oh and please excuse the mess… we are in the middle of painting doors)
I would tell you that I’ve been doing daily stretches every night before bed. I am super proud of myself. Trying to make it a daily habit.
I would tell you that I’ve been taking it easy on my personal workouts this week. Mostly doing lots of planking. I wanted to take some time to slow down a little and refocus myself before the new year really gets started. When Michelle gets back in town I know we both will be ready to kill it in our workouts 😉
I would tell you that I’ve been eating this granola all week. Tomorrow I will share what I did to the original recipe.
I would tell you that I miss my coffee talks with Michelle!!! Just not the same without her. Love my twinnie.
(me this past Wednesday night going out to dinner with a few friends last minute to get bbq…with Jax my bodyguard)
I would tell you how proud of myself I am (I know Gary is too) that I did something at the last minute. I know you might be thinking oh that is no big deal. But it is. For me. I like to plan things. Know things in advance.
Gary is amazing at doing anything at the last minute. Never really saying no to doing something. For me on the other hand… I always tend to say no to doing something.
One part of me usually saying no is because I didn’t have much self-confidence. Mainly from my acne and a little of not loving my body (but over the years I’ve worked really hard in my fitness goals and now truly love my body). And for the past 5 years I’ve been on and off again fighting my battle with acne.
And now I am at a place where I am comfortable in my own skin. I am working on controlling my hormones which is helping control my hormonal acne.
A few days ago I got my first 2 pimples in a few months.! They were small (good thing). And the best part was – I did not let them control my thoughts like they did in the past. Huge improvement! I just continued with my typical face routine and went about my day, not giving them much thought! (go me)
Each day I am getting stronger mentally and physically. I am learning to just love myself completely. Even if I still get a pimple from time to time. I am learning to handle that and still live life. I know I might still have some ‘bad’ days but overall I am choosing to be happy 🙂
