Happy Move-it-Monday Purely Fitters!!!

How was your weekend? Do anything fun? As you know we attended an ugly Christmas sweater party and did some recipe testing.  We are ready for another busy week ahead, but planning on taking a few minutes each day to relax. Purely Fitters hope you enjoy the weekly challenge of incorporating some meditation in!

Onto today’s purely fit life workout.

12 minute HIIT it UP full body workout.

Remember you’ve to push yourself during this workout since it is short. 12 minutes will go by fast. Give it all you got!

Plus this workout is fun! We promise.  You get to  roll around on the ground. Now does’t that sound like fun?

We filled this interval workout with some great bodyweight exercises.

Like supermans, side burpees, high knees and air squats. Simple basic moves that will work your entire body from all different angles.

It’s been awhile since we’ve done side burpees, we forgot how killer they are 😉  Burpees are the perfect cardio and strength exercise in one.

Don’t we have you excited? You better be.

This 12 minute HIIT workout is short and effective. Just 12 minutes of sweat and hard work.

We just love HIIT training. And you should too. If you don’t we know this workout will make you a fan.

Here is the workout breakdown:

We suggest:

  • A-fits (advanced peeps) :  Push yourself hard in each 50 seconds. Go fast in each interval.
  • B-fits (beginner peeps):  Go at a slower speed, take breaks when needed. Omit the jump in the burpees. You can try doing an interval of 12 rounds of 20 sec rest – 40 sec work and build you way up to the full interval.

Remember in order to see change YOU have to do the work.

  6. I despise burpees but they do the job that is for sure! My favorite body weight exercise would have to be planks. So many variations and so many ways to make them challenging to work for You and your needs. I don’t know if I want to try a side burpee….HA!
