We are answering numerous comments about why we tend to eat white rice over brown rice, quinoa, etc. Great question.
Why we eat WHITE rice?
You know we would never tell you or force you to eat something you don’t want to it. We just like to share what we do and why.
Just because we eat something does not mean you have to or should. You have to find and experiment with what your body likes.
Eating white rice has been a topic that many of you over the past few months have been asking us. Whenever we show meals of us eating white rice, we get asked all the time… why?
Today we are answering that question – why white rice? Why don’t we eat quinoa, buckwheat, brown rice, etc?
We are here to answer why we like white rice over brown rice.
There are a few reasons why:
- are bodies do best with it
- it’s a good quick carb source for us
- easy for us to digest
- less irriatating to our gut as we are still healing our gut
- no bloating
- gives us energy
- we just enjoy it
We like white rice! shhhh 😉
We don’t really believe there are good and bad foods just about finding foods that work with your body and that you ENJOY eating.

We do feel eating white rice can be healthy for those reasons mentioned above and in video. We do not worry about nutrients we are missing from white rice as long as we get an overall balanced diet in our other eats… we feel everything will balance out.
We don’t have anything against brown rice or quinoa or any other grain/legume/seed we just find that CURRENTLY white rice is providing us with what we need. Who knows maybe in a few months we might be eating something different. But to us that is the FUN part about life. Always learning. Always trying new things. Always being #purelyyou along the way.
Just experiment with having white rice and see how you feel. Really it comes down to personal preference.
Don’t ever feel stuck with your eats. We feel that is when a lot of health or even eating disorders can come into play…when you are afraid of eating a certain food. Do not be afraid of food. It is more about finding YOUR BALANCE.
We all have personal favorites or unique taste for things. So try new things. Break away from your normal pattern IF it is NOT working for you. Otherwise keep on enjoying life. Enjoying the foods you like. 🙂
