You ready for cocoa puff ‘cookie dough’ blizzard??

Remember those homemade cocoa puff cereal we made a few weeks ago?

Ya, we need those again in our life. And we knew a blizzard was next on the list to make with them.

This recipe is gluten free, vegan, dairy free, raw, can be made grain-free and protein packed.

The story behind this blizzard is really quite simple. Not suprised. As we try to keep things as easy and simplified, but with a healthy twist of course. And this cocoa puff blizzard is pretty darn healthy (whatever you consider healthy), if there really is such a word. Just go with us here.

We took our cocoa puffs (we made with chia gel) and thought of the idea to mix it with our kombucha soft serve. Brilliant! Just of course made some changes to the kombucha soft serve.

Think smooth, creamy gut friendly, perfect sweet soft serve mixed with cocoa puff cereal. Promise it is fantastic!! Kids will love it too! Moms you will thank us later ;)

This masterpiece is very easy to make. Oh yes. You might even have these ingredients on hand. And if you are like us store your cocoa puffs in freezer so always have them on hand to whip up a homemade blizzard when the craving strikes.

Took us oh about 2 minutes to inhale eat our homemade blizzard. Oh…darn…guess we have to make it again!

Wait…we have another great idea… use our cookie crisp cereal to make a healthier cookie dough blizzard. OH MY!!! WANT IT ALL!!!

We love the mixing our kombucha soft serve recipe with our cocoa puffs. Match made in heaven. We think you will agree. Your bellies will love you for it.

cocoa puff {cookie} dough blizzard (gluten-free dairy-free vegan grain-free)

Ingredients

  • one recipe of homemade cocoa protein puffs
  • 1 cup cashews, soaked and rinsed
  • 1-2 frozen banana
  • few drops of stevia (or 1-2 tbsp maple syrup)
  • 1/2 cup kombucha (or water or coconut milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)

Directions

  1. Make one recipe of cocoa puffs.
  2. Soak your cashews for about 2 hours. Rinse well.
  3. Place cashews into blender.
  4. Add in kombucha (or water or coconut milk) and frozen banana.
  5. Start small and slowly add in more until you reach your desired consistency you desire.
  6. Add in some sweetness like maple syurp or honey or stevia if you wish.
  7. And can add vanilla bean powder for depth of flavor or vanilla extract.
  8. Blend until creamy.
  9. If you want soft serve a little harder just place in freezer for 30 minutes. Stir. Let sit for another 30 minutes. Stir.
  10. Pour into bowl or cup and add in cocoa puffs.
  11. Top with more cocoa puffs and chocolate chips.
