Hey Purely Fit Friends,
Again we apologize for not getting our new #purelyfitlife workout up yesterday for our Move-It-Monday. And now we apologize for getting this posts up a little late today. We had a doctors appointment ALL morning with an allergist to help with Michelle’s ezcema. We will share more about that later. Right now it is all about fitness
For today’s real time workout we are doing a 20 minute time challenge.
You will need some free weights for this home workout.
We love doing weight based workouts. In our Purely Fit Life home workout program we shared a few weight based workouts and really enjoyed them. Therefore we thought doing one on our youtube channel would be fun.
Weights are a great way to bring up the intensity of your workouts. And the great thing about free weights is that once you buy them you have them for life! And as your strength gets better over time you can continue to buy heavier weights to keep challenging the body.
For this workout we used some of our basic weight based exercise and made a few changes to them. We like doing common moves with a few new additions like twisting or balancing on one foot.
We try to challenge ourselves personally with using heavier weights. When we add in weights to our home workouts we notice more change in our bodies. So don’t be afraid of weights. Remember building muscle is what burns that fat and keeps you looking lean.
And for those that are at the beginning of your workout journey and don’t have the strength yet. Do NOT give up. Keep up the hard work and promise over time you will be able to use heavier weights. Everyone started at the beginning. We did. And we are still learning and challenging our bodies everyday.
Like with all our purely fit life workouts you can customize them to your specific fitness level.
- A-fits (advanced peeps) : Use a heavy weight with what exercises you can. Try to have little to no rest in between.
- B-fits (beginner peeps): Go at your own pace. Use light weights or just body weight for just starting off.
Here is the breakdown of this 20 minute time challenge weight based workout:

This is a circuit style workout so do as many rounds as you can.
Try to limit your rest times in between sets to keep the heart rate up.
Time to go workout with us in real time!
Enjoy the workout!
