We had a wonderful weekend with our family down in Disney despite the not so perfect weather.
We took the weekend OFF from working out and just relaxed and enjoyed being with our family!
We have a very close family and we all love Disney, so this trip meant the world to all of us.
Our eats for Friday were great, the pictures above only show one persons plates, as we each got the same thing! Started the day with a simple breakfast of bananas, blueberries, eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Lots of coffee too. Lunch we ate at the park – grilled salmon with broccoli and couscous (which we did not eat that). Snacked on water and bananas while we sweated walking around the parks. Dinner was at the Wave (a restaurant in the Contemporary hotel) – we ordered the swordfish special (swordfish, veggies, and potatoes) it was so good! And of course we had dessert – more babycakes gluten-free cupcakes (we split a vanilla cupcake before dinner and then each had our own cupcake after dinner).
A fun filled day at Magic Kingdom! It was so much fun seeing the excitement in our niece. She had a blast which made all of us have a blast! We were all exhausted!
Saturday started early at 7am to get downstairs to enjoy breakfast with Mickey and other characters at Chef Mickeys in the hotel.
Mickey greeting our table. Our niece did great with the characters. She was a little unsure of goofy but she had a blast. Even all the adults had a great time seeing the characters.
Our breakfast was a buffet style and we enjoyed two plates. Each had some eggs, smoked salmon, bacon, a mickey waffle with syrup, and some sausage. Also enjoyed some local strawberries and watermelon. Along with lots of coffee. We enjoyed an early dinner at Mexico. Snacked on chips with a margarita, and each enjoyed a wahoo fish with some veggies and potatoes for dinner. And ended our day with a gluten-free brownie.
Saturday we went to Epcot for the day. The first half of the day was sunny and hot.
A few of us got some margaritas to enjoy.
This was pretty much the last bit of sunny weather.
A huge storm came while we were at Epcot. So the rest of the day we did not take too many pictures as we did not have our cameras out much due to the rain.
But even though it rained we enjoyed ourselves.
After dinner at Mexico we walked around the park in the rain a little more before heading back to the hotel to hang out.
Sunday morning came around and we all had one last family breakfast together in the hotel.
Enjoyed another buffet style breakfast so we got a little bit of everything that sounded good to us that morning. And treated ourselves to some pancakes and waffles along with more fruit, bacon and eggs.
Went to our rooms to get all packed up and checked out.
Before leaving the rooms we had to do our 50 push-ups for our June Purely Twins Challenge #PFChallenge
Before everyone got on the road we said goodbye to our niece, oldest sister and brother-in-law as the rest of us headed over to the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds to check out the horses.
Beautiful barn area and horses!
Next year we will have to go back as they offer pony rides which would be great for our niece.
Random road trip eats. We enjoyed coffee, kombucha, coconut waters, sushi, sashimi along with other snacks that we normally do not eat but we felt like little bit-size snacks to help past the time in the car. Dinner we stopped by whole foods again – kale and beef brisket.
Picked up Jax! So happy to see him!!!!
And one last sweet treat to end our vacation was a mix of cacao with coconut oil and a crumbled enjoy life cookie in there. A great way to end our perfect family vacation at Disney.
Now we are ready to get back into our normal routine around here.
Twins Question: What is your favorite ride at Disney? What is your favorite Disney restaurant? Favorite Disney movie and/or character?
Be back later with another Move-it-Monday workout! Speaking of working out we hope to go for a walk and do our #PFChallenge back routine.
